Chapter 18
The door opened and Jess stood in the doorway.
She smiled at me as she said, “Hey, you didn’t text me to come pick you up today.”
“I just thought that it would be more fun to run home.” I replied as I
smiled back at her.
“That sounds nice.” She said in a soft voice then rushed out in an excited tone of voice, “By the way, I wanted to ask you if you wanna have a movie night tonight, and not just any movie night, but a scary movie night!”
I squealed in excitement and replied, “I would love that! You know how much I love scary movies!”
Alright, we’ll watch it at 8:00 pm.” She said as she nodded.
“Okay, see you then.” I replied and watched as she walked out of the bedroom and close the door.
I decided to go down to the kitchen and grab something to eat for Junch.
It was soon 8:00 pm and so I walked out of my bedroom to head to our living room.
The living room was empty and the TV was off, so I turned around to go call Jessica when I saw her walking into the living room.
“Hey, you’re here already. That’s good, let’s start the movie.” She muttered as she walked towards the TV and grabbed the remote on the center table.
She pointed the remote at the TV and switched it on then grabbed the decoder‘ s remote and pressed the recordings button. A range of movies appeared on the screen and she started scrolling through them.
She glanced at me as she asked, “What do you wanna watch?”
