CHAPTER 20: GUTSY ARIEL
“Mister,are you interested in me?” Ariel asked curiously. As far as she remembered, the actions that Bellamy was conducting were what she read in novels on what love was all about. And looking at him now,she was sure that was the case so she had no choice but to ask him about it. Bellamy who was playing with some beads in his hand paused his actions and glanced at Ariel thoughtfully.
“What if I am?” he asked her seriously.
“Hey,don’t be a pedophile! moreover, I’m not even eighteen yet.” Ariel defended herself without caring about Bellamy’s emotions.
When Bellamy heard this, his eyes darkened and went back to normal in a flash that Ariel didn’t even have the time to catch that.
“How old are you this year?” Bellamy inquired after a moment of silence.
“I’m sixteen,so you’d better stop harbouring some impure thoughts on me!” Ariel warned once again.
“Two more years, then I’ll wait.” Ballamy said casually, as if it was not a big deal.
“Sure, but incase you find another girl and fall in lov-” Ariel was still blabbering without a care when a piece of candy was suddenly stuffed into her mouth. She had no choice but to swallow all the remaining words .She glared at Bellamy reproachfully. Bellamy on the other hand smiled triumphantly. His assistant,was was driving, was so shocked that he swerved the car to the edge of the road. This action causer Ariel who was still glaring at Bellamy, to bump her forehead on his hard chest, Her nose also got hurt in the process and tears suddenly filled her eyes.
“Don’t you know how to drive?” Bellamy suddenly hollered and glared sharply at his assistant.
“I’m sorry,it was my negligence.” Liam hurriedly apologised and shrank in fear. His boss‘ stare was just too deadly and suffocating that he couldn’t afford to look at him straight in the eye.
“You’d better do so.” Bellamy commanded and turned his attention on the little cutie who was rubbing her forehead in grievance. Her little nose had become red and swollen due to the impact.
“Are you okay?” Bellamy asked with concern. Ariel on the other hand, snorted and turned ger head to the side,totally ignoring him. Bellamy had no choice but to use his arms to hold her head in place and check her condition. Ariel kept squirming which made Bellamy’s blood hot. When Bellamy was on the verge of losing control,he suddenly ordered;
“Don’t move!”
Ariel obediently sat still, she’d already sensed something amiss in the atmosphere and so she relented. Bellamy kept rubbing her forehead gently and with heartache. It was all his assistant’s fault. He turned and glared sharply at the assistant.The assistant who was focused on driving suddenly felt a death stare on his back. He shivered in fear. It was over,it was all over! he had made his boss angry and he knew the wrath that he would face.Sigh. When they arrived at the Hovstad Residence,Ariel alighted and waved goodbye at Bellamy. Bellamy made sure she was no longer I sight before he instructed his driver to move.
“No more next time!” Bellamy told him while he was driving.
“Yes sir” The assistant acquiesced and focused on driving.
When Ariel arrived in the house,she found her parents in the living room and since she was in a good mood,she greeted them sweetly.
“Good afternoon daddy and mommy”
Her parents found this odd since the Ariel they knew would have greeted them curtly and left for her room immediately. Yet today,she was smiling at them while waiting for them to respond to her greetings. Mrs Kathleen looked at her husband Henry in confusion. Henry on the other hand shrugged in response since he also wasn’t quite aware of why their daughter,whom they treated coldly and neglected was sweet to them out of the blue.
“Er..Good afternoon.” Henry said after a moment of silence.
“Good afternoon, and where is your sister?” her mother asked,confusion evident on her face.
“She’s still doing her exam.” Ariel explained.
“Oh.” Kathleen nodded in understanding
“Then I’ll head upstairs to change.” Ariel excused herself and headed upstairs.
“Honey,do you think she’s finally forgiven us?” Kathleen asked joyfully. Yes, she has always felt guilty about how she treated Ariel when she was still young. She also pretended to be cold to her in order to mask the guilt she felt toward her.

“Let’s hope so.” Henry sighed and pulled his wife into his arms to comfort her. He also hoped that she would forgive them since they both regretted what they did to her in the past.
Ariel washed up and lay on her bed. When she reminisced the event’s that happened that day, she couldn’t help but giggle happily. She remembered Bellamy’s face that was always in a mask and how he reacted when she was scolding him. It was a funny sight and she couldn’t help but giggle again. Today, there was no one at home except her parents and the servants. Her brothers had gone to work and since she was bored,she decided to take a nap to pass time.
On the other side in Hunter’s mansion, he was busy giving his assistant directions.
“Go and look for the best chocolates around. Make sure it’s the sweetest.” He ordered his assistant.
“Yes sir.” Liam answered and left. He wondered why the boss suddenly wanted to buy chocolates. Then it hit him,Boss was chasing after that young lady from the Hovstad family and from the what he found,he knew she liked sweet things. No wonder boss was so particular about the type of chocolate he should look for. He sighed in his heart. Since he was single,he wasn’t ready to be fed dog food. It would defining hurt his eyes but what could he do?He jade to brace himself for what was to come.The following day,when Bellamy went to pick Ariel up from school, the first thing he did when she boarded his car was tear open the chocolate cover and give it to her. When Ariel tasted the chocolate,her eyes lit up,Bellamy had never seen her so happy.
“Huh? what flavour is this?why is is to so unique and tasty?” Ariel exclaimed while gobbling up the remaining chocolate bar.
“Do you like it?” Bellamy asked her with interest.
“Yes yes,it’s so yummy, I’ve never tasted such a flavor.” Ariel nodded her head like a drum.
“Then I’ll bring you more tomorrow.” Bellamy said casually.
“Really?you promise” Ariel suddenly became serious and faced him.
“Yes sure,I promise Bellamy assured her.
“Wow your are the best!” Ariel praised him.
Bellamy just smiled in response. As long as she was happy.That day,The assistant received a bonus in his pay cheque. At night,Bellamy suddenly called his assistance once again. When the assistant so who the caller was, he was scared shitless. He thought that the boss had changed his mind about his bonus. He shakily picked up the call;
“Yes boss?”
“The chocolate factory,I want to acquire it by tomorrow,make the necessary arrangements.” The boss stated the aim of the call without delaying.
“What?Boss,what did you just say?”
