CHAPTER THIRTEEN: PROVOCATION

The mmen ran and panted but saw no one in sight. That’s when they realized that something was wrong.
Tuck! we have been played!” one intelligent hitman from the group immediately found the loophole and enlightened the others. Each one of them cursed under their breathe before turning back to find the woman who lied to them just now. Since they had made a wasted trip, the were filled with fury when they went back to look for the liar and teach her a lesson.
On the other side, Ariel was still hugging Bellamy Hunter when approaching footsteps made her disengage from the hug and prop him using her shoulders. She tore a part of his white shirt and used it to tie around her stomach to temporarily stop the bleeding. When the assistant Mr Liam arrived with the bodyguards, that’s the sight that greeted them; A young girl supporting their boss on her shoulder while wrapping a while cloth around his stomach. It was just so unbelievable! with boss‘ weight,wouldn’t the girl’s bones brek due to impact? Liam felt sorry for the girl and sighed in his heart. Unbeknownst to them, Ariel had did alot of weight training so compared to the things she used to carry back then, their boss‘ weight was nothing.
Boss, are you okay? sorry we arrived late. Liam bowed and apologised while looking at his boss with concern.
When Ariel heard the voice,he turned to look at him and asked
‘You’re his assistant I presume?‘
‘Yes miss,is boss okay?” Liam asked her
‘He’s lost some blood, id rather you take him to the hospital right away for the bullet in his stomach to be removed, I tried temporarily blocking the blood from gushing out so you would better hurry up. Ariel patiently explained.
‘Noted miss,thank you” Liam cupped his first and thanked her.
He immediately instructed two bodyguards to carry their boss into the parked Rolls Royce and they immediately did. Liam then excised himself and took the boss to hospital, leaving two other bodyguards with Ariel.
“Miss,where are you headed? hop in,we’ll drop you off.” one bodyguard asked Ariel
Since the offer was valid and the alley seemed to have danger lurking around it now,she decided to hitch a ride from the bodyguards. She gave them the address and so they set off for the Hovstad Residence. Ariel alighted when the arrived at her home and thanked them before leaving. Everyone was asleep by the time she came back and that saved her from alot of hassle.
The following day in stream D,there was so much noise. The class teacher for stream A grew more furious and matched over to the stream.
‘Hey losers,could you stop making noise? you’re distracting my stream and I don’t want them to be failures like you guys!” Mrs White,Stream A’s class teacher said mockingly to the students in
stream D.
‘Hmph,who does she think she is to come and give us orders?” Fatty snorted and asked.
“You’re right,just what right dies she have?” Another student chimed in
“Hey,get lost,who do you think you are?” Sophie stood up and rudely pointed at her Mrs White’s nose.
“Yes get out,we don’t want you near our class the students ganged up on her and shouted maniacally.
‘You!” Mrs White’s face turned red in embarrassment. She was just about to stomp off when a silhouette came into her view. It was Ariel’s.
“Oh,now look who is here,anew student already coming late to class? Aren’t you guys afraid that she will drag your grade performance down more?” Mrs White asked the class provocatively. She wanted them to kick Ariel out of the class. She hated her. She actually hated the fact that Ariel was more beautiful than her so she just wanted to get rid of her.
“Oh? and what makes you think I’ll drag my stream’s score down? Mrs White,do you want to bet on this?”
‘Hmph,why not? you say it as if you can pass your exams. With your poor grades,who would believe you huh?” Mrs White ridiculed her.
“But I have a condition.” Ariel added
‘What now?” Mrs white asked in exasperation.
‘If I become the champion, you will kneel and apologise to me infront of everyone. Also, don’t forget to call me grandmother when doing so Ariel instructed,her speech earning laughter from the students who were watching.
‘You..” Mrs White stuttered
‘What? can’t make the bet? Ariel asked provocatively.
‘Who said I don t? Mrs white sassed back
‘Sure, Artel said smilingly

‘Just you wait!” Mrs White warned and stormed off
Strean A students were left rolling in laughter.
‘Did you see her face just now?” a boy asked
“Right,it felt as though she’d taken dog poop‘ Another answered while guffawing.
When Ariel took her seat,Maya tapped on her shoulder
‘Wow Ariel,you were so cool just now‘ She told her with eyes shining brightly as if she’d seen her idol for the very first time in her lifetime.
In the evening when Ariel was heading home, she was just about to hit the road when honking sounds brought her back. When she looked over,she saw a hand waving and beckoning her over. She had no choice but to go and see what the person wanted. She knocked on the car window and so it was rolled down. She was greeted by another exquisite baby face. She inwardly whistled in amazement. She had a thing for good looking people.
“Hey Ariel,I’m your third brother Aaron,I came to pick you up, come on,hop in Aaron said cutely.
Oh, so it was another Hovstad family member.She marvelled at how great the Hovstad genes were.
‘Sure.” Ariel said and got in.
‘Sister, you are so beautiful,‘ Aaron praised.
Ariel found it awkward so she just smiled. Aaron instructed the chauffeur to drive.
‘I want to take you somewhere else first,are you ready?” he asked Ariel who nodded in response. So they set off to the underground parking lot in Ocean City in a building under Aaron’s name. In the lot,Ariel saw many luxurious and beautiful cars of different models. Her adrenaline surged just looking at them. Aaron turned only to meet Ariel’s sparkling eyes.

‘Yes.‘ Ariel answered,her eyes stuck on a black ferrari.
‘Pick one,let’s take a ride,okay?” Aaron told her gently.
‘Sure,I pick this one” She said while pointing at the black limited edition ferrari. Aaron clicked his tongue,as expected of his sister.
‘Do you know how to drive sis?” Aaron asked uncertainly.
“Yup,hop in,be my co–driver Ariel said casually.
Aaron entered the car and with a vrooooom! the car shot out at an astonishing speed, leaving everyone speechless.
