CHAPTER 17: Storm
“Sister,do you know how to play the piano too?” Amando asked with interest. He wanted to see all the sides that his sister possessed.
“A little.” Ariel answered nonchalantly.
Then can you play for me?” Amando asked cutely. He decided to act cute to get what he wanted from her sister. Seeing this,Ariel just shook her head helplessly and walked to where the piano was,sat down and began playing. The song that Ariel played was melancholic,sad and depressing. The more she played, the more entranced Amando grew,the music kept pulling at his heartstrings and soul. When the music ended,Amando was still engrossed in the emotions it portrayed. After a while, he came back to to his senses and quickly wiped away the tears at the corners of his eyes. Was that what his sister called a little? it was just so unbelievable! He was sure he couldn’t handle such a way of playing the piano. Their sister was really extraordinary.
Wow you were so amazing sister!” He cleared his throat and exclaimed.
“It’s nothing.” Ariel said awkwardly. She didn’t like it when people praised her too much or became overly enthusiastic toward her but since it was her brother, she had to put up with him. Ariel and Amando were having fun,not having any inkling that they had stirred a storm on the internet. The post that Amando had randomly posted had brought about too man speculations. Those that thought that the girl in the photo was their idol’s girlfriend were immensely heart broken,others felt happy for him and wished him well in his relationship with her.
Fan A: Jeez! actir Amando my idol, do you mean to say that you are off the bachelorhood? Gosh! I can’t accept this!
Fan B: What? my boyfriend replaced me? That hurts!
Fan C: Hey,you guys, why are you wailing and yapping? as his real fans, shouldn’t you give him your full support? That makes me wonder if you are fake Fangirls.
Fan D: Speaking of which,what if the girl is just a relative of his?
Fan A: Hey @Fan D,Is your brain fried or do you just have the brain of a pig? What relative? Didn’t you see that he only has brothers? Get lost!
The debate kept going on,people throwing insults at each other and others coming up with ridiculous and comical speculations about the nature of the relationship their idol had with the girl in the photo in posted. Those fans who had a thing for good looking people kept marvelling at the girl’s beautiful side profile and wondering what type of skin care products she normally uses for her skin to appear so supple. Amando’s manager who was taking a nap,suddenly received a call from the higher ups. When he saw who it was, he sat up straight and every ounce of sleepiness that were still evident on his face disappeared without a trace.He cleared his throat and answered the call;
“Hello boss,how are you?” he greeted courteously.
“You dare ask me how i am? my blood pressure level is about to rise because of you guys!” the boss yelled on the other end of the phone.
“Boss,Calm down,what do you mean?” The manager questioned anxiously.
“Take a look at the Internet,hmph!” the boss hurramphed and hung up.
The manager immediately went online and the first trending topic he met was of Amando the actor and singer that he is in charge of.The trending topic about him was about his changed relationship status. When the manager kept scrolling,he stumbled upon the photo that Amando had uploaded a few hours ago. When he read the caption,the manager was so mad that he smashed the ashtray that was on the table to the wall. Just what did Amando think he was doing? Didn’t he know that entering a relationship at such a time is akin to ending his career path in the entertainment industry? He immediately picked up his phone and made a call.
“Yes mister manager?” Amando greeted playfully. He wasn’t aware of the ongoing storm on the internet, he was just lazing around at the Hovstad Residence.
“You are still in the mood to joke ?” the manager asked fiercely
“Huh? did something happen?” Amando suddenly became serious.
?“Take a look at the Internet!” the manager replied angrily an hung up.
Amando first rubbed his ears that were hurting from the yells of the manager befire opening up his timeline to see what was happening. When he opened and saw the trending searches,he was now sure of why the manager was mad. He wasn’t regretful of his action of posting his sister. He actually marvelled at his efficient photographic skills. Thinking of something,he dialed the manager’s number.
“Hello” the manger said
“Yes,i saw the photo.” Amando said calmly.
“What will you do about it?” the manager asked him again.
“Well,nothing.” Amando answered him without worry.

“You do know the repercussions from boss,right?” the manager reminded him.
“So what do you suggest i do?” Amando asked him for directions.
“Give them an explanation.” the manager suggested. By them he meant his diehard fans.
“I’ll talk to her first,if she gives me a greenlight, I’ll do so.” Amando said.
“Alright.” the manager answered. He didn’t want to pry into Amando’s personal life.
Amando knocked on Ariel’s door,when he was ushered in,he immediately explained the whole situation to Ariel,who understood the gravity of the matter and accepted to go to the press conference with Amando. Sigh. she really wanted to keep a low profile but the heavebs seemed to be going against her every wish. The manager received a call from Amando after thirty minutes.
Manager: Yes?
Amando: tomorrow at 10:00 am,call for a press conference.
Manager: What!
