CHAPTER 18: THE STORM SUBSIDES
The following day at ten in the morning, all the netizens and diehard fans were ready for the press conference. Many people were live streaming while others were watching from their televisions. Most importantly, those that went to the press conference personally were many.They wanted to see their idol make a statement to quench their curiosity. When it was time, Amando,who was toned in a black armani suit,looked more handsome,serious and formal. His hair was combed neatly making him appear more tidy and youthful. He done a pair of black leather shoes on his feet. People and fans couldn’t stop cheering for him. He only waved and smiled at them before climbing on the podium to give his speech. He cleared his throat and began;
“I hope everyone is well wherever they are. Yesterday, it has come to my attention that I caused quite a commotion and complications with the photo I posted on my timeline. People have been having speculations about whom the girl in the photo might be and the nature of my relationship with her. I’m sure everyone is rather curious so today,I’m here to clear things up. If you have any questions, feel from to ask.” Amando said,clearly addressing the paparazzi that were already taking pictures and recording whatever he was saying in the press conference.
Mr Amando,since that photo could put an end to your journey in the entertainment industry, do you have any regrets for your impulsive actions?” One paparazzi asked Amando
“Will you place tell us who the girl in the photo is?” Another piped in.
“What’s the nature of relationship you two share?” questions kept popping in,Amando didn’t seem flustered or anxious about that. He was still composed with an unchanged smile on his face. When his time to answer came he did so very confidently.
“Alright,are you guys done asking questions?” he asked the onlookers who nodded in response.
“Since that’s the case, I’ll now answer your questions. Firstly,my act of posting her on my timeline? I don’t regret it,I actually would do so any time ad long as I’m given the chance. As for the other questions, first allow me to introduce someone special to you all.” Amando said and nodded to his manager,who left in a hurry and came back with Ariel.
When people were still wondering what Amando meant by his words, His manager suddenly returned with a girl. She was done in a blue baggy jeans,a tank top,and an oversized checkered shirt,on his feet,we blood boots with laces. He hair was tied into a high pony tail,revealing her pretty facial features. It took long for people to come back to their senses. They could not take there eyes off her since she was too ethereal. Ariel went and stood next to Amando,who gently smiled at her and rubbed her head lovingly. Ariel sighed, she wondered what was wrong with her brothers, they liked rubbing her hair too much and she found it annoying since she had to tidy it up all the time because of it. She had no choice though, they were her brothers after all.
“As you all can see and confirm, she us the same girl I posted just by looking at her side profile. Well, she is my sister and her name is Ariel. The reason why I didn’t introduce her to you guys when I was introducing my brother is because she was far away. She just came home a few weeks ago. She’s so special to me that whoever offends her has to face my wrath. Offending her is like offending me. The relationship between her and me has been revealed so I don’t expect more speculations.Right sister?” Amando who was authoritative just now while addressing the press suddenly became gentle and soft when talking to her sister. Her sister nodded in response,which earned her another rubbing on her head. The change in Amando’s temperament shocked his fans to the core. After all, they have never experienced such a side of his. It seems that he only shows that side to his sister. People suddenly regretted not being his sister.
Fan1: God Amando,my idol,I’m sorry that I suspected you. I thought you replaced me boohoo..
Fan 2: Sigh. I’m so envious, why wasn’t I his sister too? I could be receiving the same attention as her.
Fan 3: my idol Amando,please marry me! I want to have cute kids with you!

The discussions amongst the fans kept going on, the trending topic had changed to “Amando’s beautiful sister” it had to be said that Amando had quite a huge fan base, the news spread even all over Anderson high school. Ariel suddenly became the centre of attention and the topic of discussion.
Ivy was in her room when she saw this. When she read through the comments, she was so mad that she swept everything off her dressing table in fury. What made her more jealous was the fact that Amando introduced Ariel to his fans while he’s never done that to her. He also outrightly gave a warning to show that he was backing up Ariel. An idea popped up in Ivy’s mind,she was tempted to start a new threat on the timeline anonymously and smear Ariel’s name but when she thought about how strange Amando has been behaving lately, she decided against it. She was sire Amando would find out and that would lead to a more strained relationship between Amando and her,something she didn’t wish to happen. Forget it,there were many ways to teach Ariel a lesson. For example,weren’t the end term exams approaching? she had to disgrace Ariel by performing well and earning praise from her family members who would then forget about Ariel with her poor performance and focus on her. Ivy was really twisted. While all these thoughts were going on in Ivy’s mind,Ariel and Amando were taking lunch at a restaurant somewhere and it was quite harmonious. While they were eating, Amando received a call from his manager. Weren’t they just together a few minutes ago?he picked up the call.
“What now?” Amando asked his manager in exasperation. He was tired from all that.

“Hey?,the boss just called,he wants Ariel to take part in the reality show that’s cooking.”
Til have to ask her first,when is it scheduled for ?” Amando inquired.
“It’ll be in two week’s time” The manager answered
“Fine, I’ll get back to you.” Amando said and hung up. Just as he was about to talk to Ariel,his phone once again rang,this time,it was a call from his first brother
Cliff. Amando suddenly had a bad feeling about it.
“Yes brother.” Amando said cautiously.
I’ll give you fifteen minutes,if you’re not here by then..” Amando could hear the threat hidden in his voice and this made him pale in dread.
