The man who was struck let out a painful scream as the iron rod slipped from his hand, and his injured eye squeezed shut
The eye was the most vulnerable part of the human body, and once injured, it was nearly impossible to open. It would limit his ability to act.

Shiky’s shooting speed was lightning–fast. Before the men even had time to react, she

At that moment, a man wearing a black mask focused his attention on Shirley. He abandoned his teammates and charged toward the balcony.
Shirley reacted immediately by aiming and firing several shots.
The man rolled on the ground and then hid beneath the balcony.
Shirley knew he was dectly below her, but the floorboards blocked her view. This made her gun practically useless
The second–floor balcony was a little low. The man seemed to be highly trained, and she knew he could scale the wall or leap up at any moment to disarm her and pull her down. Shirley didn’t want to stay in this stalemate. She decided to head to the roof.
But as soon as she moved, the villa would be guarded. The glass door wouldn’t be enough to stop him. She couldn’t let him get close,
Without hesitation, she dropped the gun and grabbed the flower stand next to her. If he dared to climb up, she would smash it over his head
However, she underestimated the man’s ability. As she swung the flower stand at him, he caught it and used the momentum to climb onto the balcony.
The smell of alcohol hit her face as she talt his hands wrap around her neck.
Everything happened too quickly in just the blink of an eye.
Thomas Clay tightly gripped Shirley’s neck, lirting her head as he smirked. “No wonder you’re the top socialite. You really are a pretty thing. This will be worth it” With that, he drapped Shirley into the Loom and threw her onto the bed.
Shirley was terrified. She quickly scrambled off the bed and can toward the door
Thomas was momentarily surprised by her quick reaction, but it didn’t matter. She was still his prey. There was no way she could escape.
Just as Shirley reached for the door handle, Thomas yanked her back and tossed her onto the bed. He then removed the black mask from his face.
What she saw was a hideous lace–a face sougly that it made her shudder. Shirley had never seen such an unattractive man in her life. His ugliness was revolting
Seeing Shirley’s disgust, Thomas raised his belt and swung it toward her face. “You filthy bitch!”
As the belt came toward her, Shirley’s heart sank into despalt. Her body stiffened as her eyes widened in terror.
Just as the belt was about to strike, a large hand suddenly blocked her view, and the beir’s remaining force whipped past her war
Then, with a loud thud, the sound of a body hitting the floor rang out
Shirley’s gaze snapped to the scene. The ugly man was now curled up on the ground, greaning in pain.
Standing befor him was a man exuding the chilling presence of a king, instig fear with every stap
Benjamin? When did he arrive?
Seeing Benjamin, Thomas trembled as if he had seen a ghost “Why Why are you here?”
Benjamin, with his expression icy, placed his foot on Thomas’s face. “Didn’t the Clay family tell you? Shirley is now the lady of the Blackwood family.”
“Damm Jayden! He set me up!” Thomas howled beneath Benjamin’s boot, sounding like a demon screaming in agony.
Benjamin kicked Thomas in the stomach without a blink
Thomas‘ eyes widened in shock, and he knew instantly that his kidneys were damaged beyond repair.
