“Ava!” I quickly grabbed her and ran towards the garage.
“I’ll drive you to the hospital!” Blake chased after me.
“I don’t need your help! Go be with your mistress!”
“Stop being so stubborn! Ava is my child too! If you want to argue with me, pick a better time!”

I relented and, holding the child, got into Blake’s car. But as soon as I sat down, a thought flashed through my mind:
Had Blake and Ivy done it in this car too?! Otherwise, where did this faint jasmine scent come from?
Ivy always smelled of jasmine!
Even though my sense of smell had diminished, it was hard to ignore that scent.
I forced myself not to get out of the car for my child.
Once we arrived at the hospital, I rushed into the pediatric clinic.
“Don’t worry, Luna Nina. It’s the usual problem, colic.” Half an hour later, the doctor came out of the emergency room to reassure me. “We can admit her for observation for a couple, of days.”
“I told you it was nothing. You’ve been too nervous. Your anxiety isn’t good for the child,‘

Blake reached out to touch Avat
I pushed him away.
“Don’t touch her! You’ve never really cared about her!” I spat.
Blake glanced at the doctor, smiling awkwardly
“Her postpartum depression hasn’t healed. She’s emotional.”
Blake’s words angered me once again.
“You slept with my therapist, and you still expect me to be calm?!” I said, and the doctor stared at me in surprise.
“Nina!” Blake growled, clearly embarrassed that I was calling him out in front of others.
I ignored him and went to handle Ava’s hospitalization paperwork.
At that moment, several nurses rushed in, pushing a wounded werewolf on a stretcher.
I saw the werewolf lying on the stretcher–his eyes, nose, and ears were all bleeding, and

This scene was all too familiar! A few years ago
I froze, and before I could snap out of it, a tall, muscular werewolf almost bumped into me.
“Sorry!”
I looked up at him. He wasn’t from our pack.
He looked at least half a head taller than Blake, with tightly stretched muscles under a black T–shirt, and a strong scent of blood filled the air.
I wasn’t sure if it was his blood or someone else’s.
He helped steadyane, then turned to chase after the nurses to the emergency room was stopped by a doctor.

I had a bad feeling about what was happening but was still focused on Ava, so I didn’t ask any more questions.
I stayed at the hospital overnight with Ava. Later that night, Blake brought me a blanket, but I threw it in the trash.
“Nina, I’ve already apologized to you! Don’t push your luck!” Blake glared at me. “Don’t forget, the status, wealth, and comfortable life you have now–all of that is because of me! Without me, you’d have nothing!”
“You think I care about the Luna title?”
“Oh you don’t?! You have no idea how many women would kill for that position! You should be grateful to be my mate!”
“Then let Ivy be your Luna. I’ve told you, I want to reject you!”
