Chapter 6
I walked away only to meet my eyes with the werewolf who ran into me before. His eyes were green filled with emotions I couldn’t see through.
Fixing the gaze on each other, we were about to cross each other when he blocked me. “1 Alpha Blake your mate?” He asked with curiosity.
“Do you know each other?”
If he’s Blake’s friend, then he’s probably not a good man! I thought to myself.
“We used to fight rogues together. He’s not great at taking down enemies, but he’s pretty skilled at dealing with his own mate,” he said sarcastically.
I looked at him, a little surprised. I didn’t expect this stranger to speak up for me.
“Nina, right?” He held his hand out.
“And who are you?” I asked, eyeing him warily.
“Logan Savage.”
“The Logan? The Alpha of the Moonblade pack?” I looked at him in disbelief.
“Yes,” He said, chuckling.
Oh, god!! Is he the Lycan?
I had heard that the Alpha of the Moonblade pack was different from other Alphas. He was a Lycan, a stronger and older race.
In battle, they fought in a half–human, half–wolf form, making them more agile and powerful than ordinary werewolves. But Lycans were very rare.
“But how are you here?” I asked, finally taking his hand for a handshake.
“Tracking a few vicious rogues,” he said, furrowing his brow.
I remembered Blake mentioning rogue attacks along the border recently. Just then, a doctor walked over.
“I’m sorry, Alpha Logan. We did our best, but we couldn’t stop your brother’s bleeding.”
“Can you figure out the cause?” Logan asked seriously.
“I’m sorry, we’ve never seen symptoms like this before.” The doctor shook his head, frustrated.
“He’s losing too much blood, and he’s a Lycan, so his blood type is very special. I’m afraid the only way is for you to donate your blood. Otherwise, he’ll die from blood loss.”
“How much blood? Take as much as you need. Logan urgently made the doctor to walk toward the emergency room

I remembered seeing the werewolf bleeding this afternoon
“Alpha Logan,” I called him. “I think I know what happened to your brother’s injuries”
Alpha Logan turned around, looking at me skeptically.
“You know?”
“Three years ago, this is how my parents were killed!” I said, recalling, the memories that had etched in my mind.
“I originally didn’t belong to the Shadowbite pack, but lived in a nearby pack, Black Rose pack. My parents were Betas, and during a rogue attack, they sacrificed themselves to protect the young Alpha heir. They were poisoned by a type of wolf venom.
“But Wolf venom can be cured, right?” Logan asked curiously.
“Yeah, werewolves have strong healing abilities, but even after being taken to the hospital, their wounds continued to bleed. Even their eyes and noses started to bleed. All the doctors were helpless. My parents died from blood loss.”
“Oh…” Logan body language tensed.
“Later, the Alpha of the Black Rose pack investigated the cause of their deaths. And it was found they weren’t poisoned with ordinary wolf venom, but a blood curse in which the witch adds their own blood to the venom.
“So until the witch is not killed, the curse will continue, right?” Logan asked, a spark of hope flashed across his eyes.
Yes, at my parents‘ funeral, the Alpha of the Black Rose pack told the same.
“Use any means necessary to make those rogues in the dungeon reveal the witch’s hiding location,” Alpha Logan ordered his subordinates.
The next day, just as I woke up in Ava’s hospital room, Alpha Logan walked in with breakfast.
“Thank you,
Nina. My brother’s condition has improved!” He handed me the breakfast. ” You saved my brother. If you ever have any trouble, just tell me. I’ll make sure to help you out.”
“It’s what I should do, Alpha Logan. No one would stand by and watch someone die,” I smiled at him.
“Just call me Logan!”

Just then, Blake walked in.
“When did you two meet?” Blake’s gaze shifted back and forth between me and Logan.
Before I could answer, Blake grabbed the breakfast from my hands and threw it on the floor, then handed the breakfast he brought.
“This is your favorite: cinnamon coffee and salmon.”
“What are you doing?” I angrily pushed Blake away.
“I’m here to handle Ava’s discharge papers.” As he spoke, he rushed over and picked up Ava from the bed.
Ava woke up and started crying again.
“I’ve already told you. Ava and I are moving out. We’re not coming back with you!”
I quickly pulled Ava into my arms, afraid he would take my child away.
But Blake didn’t listen to me at all. He grabbed my arm and started dragging me toward the door.
“Come home with me!”
“Let go of her!” Logan intervened in a stern voice and stepped between Logan and me.
