Chapter 7
The atmosphere in the hospital room was suffocatingly tense.
Blake’s eyes flickered with anger.
“Come home with me, Nina,” he roared, reaching out to grab Ava, who was crying in my
arms.
“No!” I held my daughter tightly and took a step back behind Logan. “I won’t go anywhere with you!”
“Didn’t you hear what Nina just said?” Logan extended his hand to block Blake, standing firmly between us.
“Move aside,” Blake ordered. “Nina is my mate. This is none of your business.”
“Blake, the moment you betrayed me, I had no home to return to. I will never go with you!” My voice trembled.
Logan glanced at me, then turned his gaze back to Blake, his lip curling in disgust.
“An Alpha should never betray his mate,” Logan said coldly.
福
“You know nothing!” Blake snapped, his calm completely shattered.
“I know. A real man respects his mate, doesn’t betray her, and certainly doesn’t try to control her,” Logan said, still calm, but his words were as firm as iron.
“Why are you helping her? What secrets do you two have?” Blake’s face darkened.
“You accuse me of betrayal, but look at yourself. You didn’t even wait a day before hooking up with another man.”
“Shut up with your filthy thoughts!” I yelled at Blake.
“Stop lying! The way you looked at him just now was clearly flirting!”
Before I could respond, Blake suddenly shifted and lunged at Logan. His wolf form was massive, fangs bared, claws aimed at Logan’s throat.
“Logan! Watch out!” I shouted.
But Logan was faster. He easily dodged Blake’s attack.
I watched in awe as Logan transformed into a half–man, half–wolf form. So, this was the power of a Lycan! I couldn’t help but stare.
Their fight nearly destroyed the entire hospital room. Nurses rushed in, but none dared approach them.

Ava cried louder in my arms, cutting through the chaos.
“Stop it! Please!” I screamed, my voice hoarse. I don’t want this please, stop fighting!”
Logan’s strikes were precise, and his strength overpowered Blake’s rage.
In a moment, Logan had pinned Blake to the ground, his large hand gripping the back of Blake’s neck with forceful dominance.
Blake struggled, but it was useless.
“If you really care about your daughter, stop acting impulsively,” Logan commanded.
Blake ceased his struggle. I gently comforted Ava.
Seeing the look of frustration and suppression on Blake’s face, I felt a strange mix of relief and sadness inside me.
He is no longer the man I once loved.
“Get out,” Logan said, shoving Blake away with authority in his voice.
Blake gave me a look that was hard to read, then walked away with his shoulders slumped.
Just as the tension in the air dissipated, and Logan turned to face me, I slumped against the wall with silent tears streaming down my face.
“Are you okay?” Logan asked gently.
“Thank you,” I whispered, holding Ava even tighter.
“You don’t need to thank me. You deserve better,” he patted my shoulder. “But do you have a plan now?”
I looked down at Ava in my arms, feeling a bit lost.
“Where could I go after leaving Blake? Even if I moved out, as long as I stayed in the Shadowbite pack, Blake could find me anytime!”
As I hesitated, Logan spoke up.
“If you don’t mind, you could come with me to the Moonblade pack. There, someone will take care of you and your child.”
