Chapter 34
Nadia smiled and turned to leave without speaking another word.
Matthew suddenly reached out to grab her arm tightly.
Nadia turned to look at him in confusion.
Matthew looked at her motionlessly. His lips were slightly pursed, and his jawline looked a little strained..
Nadia was puzzled.
“Is there… anything else?” she asked.
Matthew just stared at her with his deep brown eyes.
“Maybe it can’t be over yet,” he said, word by word, clearly and calmly.
Without speaking, Nadia frowned in confusion.
Matthew didn’t say anything more but didn’t let go of her arm either. He leaned over suddenly and reached out to the drawer of the wardrobe behind Nadia. It was where she had just taken the check–up report from not long ago.
The expression on Nadia’s face changed slightly. She reached out to stop Matthew from reaching into the drawer subconsciously but was not as brisk as Matthew. He blocked her hand easily and stretched out his other hand to the neatly stacked check–up reports.
Nadia hugged his arm hurriedly. “You’re invading my privacy, Matthew.”
Matthew let her hold his arms and looked down at her. “I think I have the right to know about this
Nadia was slightly pale. She loosened her grip on his arm slightly. She did not stop him and simply turned to slightly.

Matthew didn’t reach out again for the report. He just looked at Nadia and said, “You’re pregnant, aren’t you?”
Nadia pursed her lips and did not speak.
Matthew asked, “When did you find out?”
Nadia pursed her lips slightly and finally looked at him. “The day I went abroad, at the airport.”
Matthew remembered that he was also at the airport that day. He saw Nadia leave with another man on the second floor. When she turned around, she saw him. At that time, she already knew that she was pregnant.
“You didn’t plan to tell me,” he said. It was not a question, but a statement. Matthew’s brown eyes were still fixed on Nadia’s face.
Nadia avoided his gaze and said softly, “So what if I told you? You have no right to make the decision.”
Matthew said, “You don’t want this child.”
His voice was still so calm that it was almost cold.
Nadia pursed her lips and said nothing.
Matthew also looked at her without saying a word.
Silence spread between them.
After a long time, Matthew finally broke the silence.
“Is it that hard for you to keep the baby?” he asked in a soft voice.
Nadia didn’t know how to answer. Now, it wasn’t about whether she wanted to keep the baby or not. It depended on whether she could keep the baby or not.

Chapter 31
Matthew saw the tears in her eyes. He took a step forward, opened his arms suddenly, and hugged her gently.
Nadia was stunned. When she came back to her senses, she tried her best to break free.
Matthew hugged her tightly and would not let go of her.
“Nadia,” he said softly and successfully stopped Nadia from struggling.
“I want to have a baby with you. Don’t give up so easily.”
His voice was so soft that it made Nadia burst into tears.
She sniffled and suppressed the sobs in her throat. She pushed him away gently, but did not nod to say yes or shake her head to refuse him.
Nadia would never argue with Matthew because she had not made up her mind yet.
“I can’t promise you now,” she said softly, looking at Matthew. “I haven’t decided whether to keep him or not. Or rather, he hasn’t decided whether to stay or not.”
She took out the check–up report from today from the drawer and handed it to Matthew, “How did you find out?” Matthew took the report from her and his eyes paused at the words “Early Pregnancy in the diagnosis advice column.
