Chapter 12
He begged as he took my hand in his and squeezed it softly.
I pulled my hand out of his grip as I shook my head, “You can’t change my mind.”
“Please, Farrah!” He begged again.
I sighed as I pinched the space between my brows in frustration. The people in the airport were now looking at us, especially the ones in line and I could hear them murmuring with my heightened werewolf hearing.
One woman in line said to another woman, “Isn’t that Alpha Jacob? She should take him back since he’s pleading with her like that.”
“I was going to do this after I had arrived at my new pack, but I’m just going to do it now.” I muttered as I prepared myself.
Confusion made its way to his face as he asked, “Do what?”
“I, Luna Farrah, reject you, Alpha Jacob!” I exclaimed as I stared into his eyes confidently.
“Oh no!” He yelled as he clutched his chest, trying to ease the pain. I didn’t feel any pain as the one that does the rejection doesn’t feel any pain. Only the one that is being rejected feels the pain.
“Oh, just have mercy on him! He’s just in love with you, give him another chance!” A lady in front of me said as she held her hand against her chest while staring at Jacob.
I scoffed, “It’s none of your business, Miss. You have no idea how many chances I’ve given him and how many times he has broken my heart.”
She gave me a strained smile and turned around, minding her own business.
“I swear I’ll change. If it’s my hanging out with Lisa that you don’t want, I’ll stop and I’ll focus on you. Just please, take me back!” Jacob pleaded as he stared at me with tears in his eyes.

Jacob blinked the tears back and let his hands drop to his sides as the pain subsided.
I shook my head as I replied, “There’s no stopping you from seeing Lisa. You two are meant for each other.”
He parted his lips as if he was going to speak, but then he pressed his lips back together.
“Don’t try looking for me, Jacob, because I’ll never take you back.” I said in a low voice just as it became my turn to hand my ticket in.
I could feel his stare on the back of my head as he whispered, “I WILL find you.”
I ignored him and took my ticket back then walked through the glass double doors to get to the plane.
Two hours later, I was sitting on a bench in the airport‘ s parking lot as I was waiting for Jessica to pick me up.
“Damn it! Why is opening this car so difficult?!” I heard someone murmur with my heightened werewolf hearing.
I stood up and looked around to spot a man six feet away from me, standing beside an SUV.
He was wearing a hoody and has a bandanna covering the bottom half
of his face.
I used my heightened werewolf sight to zoom in and saw that he was using a screwdriver to unscrew the bolt holding the driver’s door handle.
This he–wolf was trying to steal a car How despicable!
I knew that I had to do something, so I bolted towards him.
He didn’t see me until I was only a feet away from him.
His eyes widened and he turned around to run away, but he was too late.
I caught his arm and stopped him from running away, but then he growled at me and started shifting into his wolf. He ran away before I

could predict his next move.
Seeing that, I shifted into my wolf too and started running after him. We ran between cars before I finally caught up to him.
He was back to the car that I caught him trying to steal and he looked around frantically, trying to look for where to run to.
I growled at him and he moved his gaze to me. I shifted back to my human form and commanded, “Shift!”
He couldn’t help, but shift back since I was a Luna wolf and he has to do as I said.
I was now wearing my expendable shorts and top, and so was he which meant that the bandanna wasn’t covering his face anymore.
I realized that I knew him before I transferred to the Red Wolves pack.
“Turner?” I asked in disbelief.
He looked down in shame as he nodded, “I’m sorry, Farrah.”
“Why are you trying to steal cars when you have the chance to become something better?” I asked him.
“I- it’s just that I want to have a car. Allah my friends are driving fancy cars when I couldn’t even get into College, so I thought that I’ll just steal one!” He exclaimed as tears filled his eyes, but he blinked them
back.
I sighed as I patted his shoulder, “You can’t become successful overnight, it just doesn’t work that way. You need to work hard for it.”
He hung his head as he replied, “I know.”
“You know what, why don’t you give me your number and I’ll try to get you a tutor that can help you study? That way, you’ll have a chance at getting into College.” I suggested as I walked back to the bench where I left my purse, duffel bag and suitcase.
His eyes brightened and he looked excited, “Wow! You’ll really do that for me, Farrah? Thanks so much!”

I nodded as I grabbed my purse and pulled my phone out, “Of course, that’s what pack members do for each other.”
He grinned and called out his phone number.
I saved it and texted him, so that he would see my number.
As he walked away, a she–wolf climbed out of a BMW and walked towards me.
She smiled as she reached me, “I saw what you did; you’re amazing, you know that right?”
I couldn’t help, but laugh and reply, “Thanks for thinking that.”
“No need to thank me because it’s true. You must be a warrior wolf to act like that.” She assumed as she crossed her arms against her chest.
Ishook my head as I replied, “No, I’m actually a Luna wolf.”
“Whoa! That’s so cool! Luna wolves are meant to be Alpha‘ s mates, so tell me, are you mated to an Alpha? And what’s it like being mates to an Alpha?” She rushed out with an excited glint in her eyes.
I laughed again and gave her a smile. I didn’t feel comfortable sharing the details of my love life with a stranger, so I just said, “It’s complicated.”
“Well, you could tell-” She started, but was cut off by the honk of at

We turned to the direction of the sound and I saw Jessica climbing out

“Farrah!” She called out as she ran up to me and engulfed me in a hug.
I giggled as I hugged her back.
“Jess! I’ve missed you so much!” I exclaimed as she pulled back.
