I called Beta Kyle and he picked up immediately, “Farrah, thank God you saw my text.”
I sighed, “What’s this life and death situation?”
“It’s Alpha Jacob. He can’t eat or sleep. All he does is talk about you and how he needs to get you back.
He’s gotten sick and now, he’s starting to go rogue because he’s refusing to shift back to his human form and you know how werewolves lose themselves when they stay in wolf form for more than a week. He says that he won’t shift back until you come back to him.
It sounded like he was being stubborn just so that I would go crawling back to him. Well, that wasn’t going to happen because I was not going back to him!
I shook my head in disbelief even though he couldn’t see me and replied in a cold voice, “I don’t care that he’s trying to kill himself! Don’t look for me again!”
“How can you say that, Farrah?!” Beta Kyle asked in a shocked voice. “Because it’s the truth.” I replied in a firm voice.
“He’s your mate for God’s sake! How can you abandon him when he needs you the most?” He asked me, making anger bubbled in my
chest.
“I rejected him, so he’s not my mate anymore, and how dare you accuse me of abandoning Jacob where he abandoned me first?
I was there with him through his good times and bad times, but did he appreciate it? No, he cheated on me and expects me to stay with him. as he continues cheating!” I ranted as I breathed heavily.
“Oh, I’m so sorry! I had no idea that he was cheating.” Beta Kyle said, sounding nervous.
“Just tell him that I’m not coming back. He would have to shift back to his human form once he hears that.” I replied and hung up.
Chapter 16.
My phone beeped again and I checked it to see a message from Lisa on Messenger.
It says, [Alpha Jacob is in a bad place right now. You need to let him know that you’re not coming back so that he’ll learn to move on from you.]
She was blaming me for what he brought upon himself!
I felt so angry that I decided not to reply to her.
I had more important things to do like going to school.
I walked out of my bedroom and made my way to Jessica’s bedroom to ask her to drop me off at school.
Hours later, I was at school and getting ready to run in the werewolf track race test.
It was our first semester test on the subject to see how good we were
We were all standing in our expendable shorts and tops as the coach. stood beside me.
There were nine of us and four of us were she–wolves.
“Get ready!” The coach, Mrs. Harry, yelled as she stared at each of
Us.
We were standing in front of the starting line, so we readied our
stance.
“Shift!” Mrs. Harry yelled and everyone started shifting into their wolf form.
“Go!” She yelled and blew her whistle.
We started running around the track, aiming for the finish line.
I heard the crowd clapping and chanting, “Go! Go! Go!”
Someone in the crowd howled and then a few others joined.
“Yes!” I heard Mrs. Harry yelled just as I crossed the finish line. “Farrah, you’ve won first place again and have scored the highest on this test. Keep this up and you’ll be graduating as the best track runner that Standard West College has ever seen.” Mrs. Harry praised as she
grinned at me.
I shifted back to my human form and grinned back at her, “I’ll keep trying my best, Ma‘ am.”
“Well, that’s all for today. You can go to your next class now.” She said as she looked around at everyone.
“Yes, Ma‘ am.” We all answered and she walked away.
Just as I was about to walk into the school halls and go to my next class, I heard, “Hey!”
I turned around and saw the girl from the airport‘ s parking lot; the one with the BMW approaching me.
I waved at her, awkwardly as I said, “Uh, hi. I didn’t know that you go here.”
She laughed nervously as she replied, “I just transferred here, so today is my first day.”
My brows raised in surprise and I said, “Okay.”
Still looking nervous, she blurred out, “Actually, I have a confession to make, Farrah.”
My brows furrowed as I asked, “Wait, how do you know my name?” She sighed as she answered me, “That’s what the confession is about.”
“Okay, I’m listening.” I replied as I waited for the confession.
“I- I’ve been stalking you and spying on you. I didn’t want to do it, but the pay is so good. However, seeing you run today made me realize how wrong I was to accept the job.” She confessed as she stared at the ground.
My frown deepened and I asked, “Who’s paying you? Don’t tell me it’s-”
Before I could finish she cut me off with what I was going to say,
“Alpha Jacob of the Red Wolves pack.”
I didn’t know that Jacob could go that far just to torment me.

He wasn’t in love with me, yet he didn’t want to let me go.
What would he gain from spying on me?
“But I’m not doing it anymore. I’m telling him to stop calling and texting me! I won’t follow you ever again and I won’t tell him anything about you ever again!” She exclaimed as a determined look appeared on her face.
“Okay.” I muttered, feeling uncomfortable with the conversation.
“So please forgive me and accept me as your friend! I’m so sorry for stalking you! I promise I’ll never do it again.” She pleaded as she grabbed my shoulders.
I pulled her hands away from my shoulders as I asked, “Okay, I forgive you, but why do you want to be friends with me anyway and what’s your name?”
