Chapter 17-
“My name’s Ashley, and I want to be friends ‘cause – well, for starters; you’re so cool!” She exclaimed as she chuckled with an excited look in her eyes.
I chuckled too and replied, “I’m sure you’re just as cool, and I’m good with being friends as long as you have nothing to do with Jacob ever again.”
She nodded, “Deal.”
I walked towards my large handbag and grabbed it then pulled my phone out.
I saw 52 missed calls from Beta Kyle and I knew that Jacob was probably the one making him call me since I’ve blocked his number. I saw a message from Lisa on messenger and I checked it.
[You need to tell Alpha Jacob to move on from you since you’ve rejected him.]
I scoffed, shaking my head and decided to ignore the message.
My phone beeped at that moment and I checked it to see a message from our class‘ s Facebook group.
It says that our next class has been canceled and it was our last class for the day which meant that we were already done with school for the day.
“Class has been canceled, right?” Ashley asked me as she also scrolled through her phone.
I nodded as I placed my phone back into my handbag, “Yeah. I’m going to go change and then take a taxi home.”
“Or we can just run home in wolf form since you love running so much! You know what? Let’s make it a race!” She suggested excitedly.
I smiled at her as I replied, “But you don’t even live in the pack house.”
“I live close by, just a few houses before you reach the pack house.”

She said as she pushed her phone into her purse.
“Okay, let’s race home, but let’s start from the front of the school.” I said as I imagined just how good it would feel to race home.
“Alright. There’s a path in the woods that leads straight to the pack house and it’s a shortcut. Why don’t we take that path home?” She asked me as we started walking back into the school hall to get to the school gate.
I nodded, “Sounds like a great idea. I used to go running with my sister in those woods when I was younger.”
She laughed as she replied, “It must have felt so good.”
“Yeah.” I replied just as we reached the school gate.
“Okay, are you ready?” She asked me as she pulled her purse‘ strap around her neck.
I did the same thing as I answered her, “Yeah.”
“Let’s go!” She exclaimed as she shifted into her brown wolf.
I shifted into my black and white wolf too and started running through the woods.
She was hot on my heels as we ran.
“This feels amazing!” Willow murmured in my head.
“I know!” I replied to her with a laugh.
Suddenly, I heard a velvety voice in my head, “Can I join your race?”
I turned my head to see Alpha Cameron’s blue black wolf running beside me.
“Sure, Alpha!” I answered him as I noticed that he was running faster than Ashley and I were running.
“Just Cameron, remember?” He corrected as he turned his wolf s head to me for a few seconds before looking back at the path.
“Have you always been close with Alpha Cameron?” Ashley asked me through mind link.

I glanced at her as I replied, “Not really. Why are you asking?”
“It’s just that you two seem close.” She replied and gave me a playful shove with her head.
I laughed through mind link as I said. “It’s funny that you think that.
“Yeah. Anyway, my house’s just down this other part, so I need to go. Bye!” She rushed out as she slowed down.
“Okay, bye!” I replied and watched as she turned a corner to the right and ran home.
I increased my speed and soon, I was running ahead of Alpha Cameron.
“Whoa! I didn’t know that you’re ‘this‘ fast, Farrah.” Alpha Cameron exclaimed through mind link as he ran faster.
I giggled through mind link and replied, “I’m a werewolf track runner, so that’s probably why I’m ‘this‘ fast.
I potted the pack house a few meters away and I ran faster.
The wind blew through my fur and the sun felt good on my skin.
“I think you should think about what’s been going on between you and Alpha Cameron.” Willow muttered in my head.
“There’s nothing going on between Alpha Cameron and I.” I replied as I noticed Alpha Cameron coming up beside me.
“Yes, there is! Anyone can see it!” She exclaimed in an excited voice.
I only laughed at her words as I didn’t know what to say.
If there was really something going on between us, he would make a
move.
We reached the pack house together and shifted back to our human form.
I pulled my handbag‘ s strap from around my neck and moved it to my shoulder.
“I had fun running with you, Farrah. Hopefully, we can do this again.

sometime.” He murmured as his dark eyes searched my hazel ones. My face flushed at his stare and I averted my gaze as I replied, “Yeah,
I had fun too.”
“Alpha Cameron, I need to talk with you.” Dad said as he walked out of the pack house.
“Hey, Dad.” I greeted him as I smiled.
“Hey there, Farrah. Dad’s a little busy now, we’ll talk later, alright?” He said in a soft voice.
I nodded, “Sure.”
“I need to talk with your Dad, so see you later?” Alpha Cameron asked as he looked at me hopefully.
I nodded, “Yeah, see you later.”
He looked satisfied with my answer and turned to Dad as they started talking.
I walked into the pack house and headed straight to our floor.
Just as I entered my bedroom and changed into my white dress, I heard a knock on my door.
I glanced at it as I said, “Come in.”
