CHAPTER TEN: THE DREAM

“Yes sir.” Liam bowed and left the study. Sigh. why did that person have to mess with someone who was so precious to his boss? He pitied the person because his boss‘ methods of dealing with those who offend him are always ruthless. Bellamy on the other hand,wondered if she was fine. She had undergone alot of trajectories at a young age. Just how much did she go through for her to be able to remain unfazed in the face of a storm? The more he thought about it,the more his desire to protect her grew within him. He swore to protect her. For the first time in his life, his heart feit a different emotion because of her appearance. He decided to protect her because she was special to him.
In the premises of the East entertainment company, specifically Amando Hovstad’s lounge,it was chaotic. Amando had just finished shooting and performing his scenes and was so drained so he decided to take a quick nap before the next shoot began. While he was asleep, he had a dream. It was a dream that portrayed the future of the entire Hovstad family. In the dream, he saw himself being insulted and mocked online by those who once claimed to be his real fans. He was accused of rape by a girl who has always been by his side as a close friend. This scandal led the company to expel him from the entertainment industry. He couldn’t take it so he suffered severe depression and when he couldn’t hold on any longer,he committed suicide. His brother Aaron,who was a professional car racer,got into a premeditated car accident while in a competition and died on the spot. The sight of him at the scene of the accident was so gory. His second brother Craig,the renowned lawyer,was caught in a corruption scandal after keeping himself clean for all those years. He was sentenced to life imprisonment and was all over the news because of this. His big brother Cliff, was betrayed by his most trusted assistant Leon, who sold out important information on a contract that was about to be signed. This contract was the one that would have decided the fate of the Cliffstad multinational corporation. Since the crucial information was sold out, the corporation crumbled. Ivy on the other hand,in one way or another, managed to snatch the four brothers shares except Cliff’s and collaborated with the rival company to take down the mighty Cliffstad corporation. Thereafter, she married into a famous aristocratic family in Ocean City and lived in luxury without caring about the Hovstad family that raised her. His father and mother were involved in a car accident while coming back from a friend’s party and died on the spot. That was when internal power strife took a toll on the Hovstad family. Their youngest sister Ariel,whom they had neglected and called a jinx for all those years,was the one who picked them when they were down. She toiled and tried however much she could to help the remaining members of the Hovstad family stay afloat. The remaining family members regretted their own actions and hoped that incase they were given a second chance in life, they would make it up to her.
“Hey Amando, Amando..” Amando was still engrossed in the dream when he was jolted awake by his manager’s voice.
“Huh?” Amando looked at him in confusion.
“It’s time for the next shoot, hurry up. The manager explained it to him.
“What date and year is it?” Amando suddenly grabbed his manager’s shirt and asked pensively.
“Hey, Calm down, you just woke up. Anyway I’ll be waiting downstairs. the manager told him and went downstairs.
Speaking of which, Amando was behaving weirdly. If he remembered correctly, when he went in the lounge just now, he found Amando’s forehead covered in beads of sweat. It looked like he was having a nightmare and when he woke up, the first thing was to grab him by his shirt and ask him what date and year it was? He sure was behaving strangely. When Amando woke up from his stupor, the first thing he did was to look for a calendar. Good,he had time to change the tide. The next thing he did was to call his brother Cliff. Cliff who was busy, suddenly received a call from his fourth brother.
Cliff: Speak.
Amando: Bro I missed you!
Cliff: Get to the point, I’m busy.
Amando: I have something to tell you, do you have time tonight?
Cliff: Let’s meet at home. I have to go.
Amando: Okay.
Cliff could tell that something was going on with his brother considering the sense of urgency in his voice. He decided not to pry deeper into it since he said he’d tell him tonight. He was just about to open another file when his cellphone chimed with a message.
Aaron: Bro, I’m coming home tonight, I have something to talk to you about. See you.
Cliff: Sure.
Cliff wondered what the two of them wanted to talk to him about. It was just so strange. He didn’t believe in coincidences. Anyway he decided to find out what the issue was tonight.
Bellamy’s door of the study was pushed open and Liam entered while panting.
Boss, it’s the Campbell family’s daughter who studies at Anderson high school. She is a friend to Ariel’s twin sister Ivy. She is the one that posted that.” He explained.
‘You know what to do. Don’t go all out on them yet, for now, just give them a warning.” Bellamy instructed.
“Yes sir, I’ll do as you say.” Liam nodded and left. He decided to send the head of the Campbell family a message that said;
Keep your daughter on a leash, unless you want your company to go bankrupt overnight. Regards from my boss Mr Bellamy Hunter.
When the head of the Campbell family received the message, he paled in fright. He didn’t want to offend that demon! He had to teach his daughter a lesson when she got home that day. Lucia Campbell had just entered the house happily but before she could greet her father, a resounding slap welcomed her. Lucia was stunned on the spot before registering that she had been slapped.
‘Dad, did you just hit me?” Lucia asked, crystal tears forming in her eyes. Her right hand was holding her right cheek that had been slapped.
