CHAPTER FOURTEEN:STUNNING!
Aaron entered the car and with a Vroom! the car shot out like an arrow at an astonishing speed, leaving everyone speechless. Aaron was stumped for quite a while before he adjusted. Didn’t they say that she grew up in the countryside and she’s only a country bumpkin who only knows how to fight and cause trouble? it didn’t seem like it from Aaron’s point of view. The Ariel he had just interacted with was completely different from what the rumours said. She was breathtaking and impressive in every way possible. Just who exactly was his sister? What mysteries surrounded her? He decided to tale his time and study her slowly by slowly.
Ynen Ariel and Aaron arrived to the finish line,she saw people waiting curiously to see who would come out of the car. The first person that came out was Aaron,who rushed to the side and retched his guts out. Ariel looked at him through the rear view of the car and tutted inwardly. He couldn’t even take that little speed yet he called himself a car racer. What if she drove at the death speed she always employs when racing alone? She opened the car door and alighted from it. The people who were watching first witnessed a pair of long legs in sneakers stepping on the ground. They were very beautiful. But when they saw her face,they were gobsmacked. Her beauty was so breathtaking and stunning that people couldn’t take their eyes off her.
“Fuck‘ is she a fairy?” a teenage boy watching from the sides exclaimed loudly while marvelling.
That’s not what is important,didn’t you notice that she came out from the driver’s seat?” His friend nudged him and reminded seriously.
‘That’s right,wait, do you mean she was the one who was driving?Gosh! this is driving me insane!” Another ruffian saud in exasperation while rubbing his temples.
“You are right,she’s the driver,Jeez! she’s so cool everywhere. sigh. ” a cute and bubbly girl commented, envy evident in her voice.
While people were still marvelling at her beauty and skills, a boy who looked frivolous and profligate suddenly made his entry, followed by six of his lackeys. People fearfully gave way whenever he passed by where they were standing.
The boy was non other than Trevor Lawrence, the number one bully in Ocean City. It was rumoured that the last person who dared to offend him is currently lacking both of his hands since they were cut off by him. It was said that the victim trued to harass one of the girls that were believed to be Trevor’s possession so he chose to cut off the arms of the guy who tried to grope his girl. He was just horrendous!
“Hey young miss Trevor called out and reached out his hand while smiling. The smile didn’t reach his eyes though.
“Hey.” Ariel just nodded, her hand still in her pocket. She didn’t intend to shake hands with him. Trevor’s eyes flashed with a dark glint on seeing that Ariel had no intention of honouring his gesture. It was just in a flash but Ariel saw it and smirked inwardly. She had a tendency of intentionally angering people to death.
‘Let’s race again,whoever wins gets ten million dollars as a prize. Are you fame?” He suddenly proposed. Ariel could hear the provocation in his voice. Ariel also remembered that she seemed to be lacking money,so she readily agreed.
“Sure, but we have to sign a contract first.” She suggested.
Trevor was displeased but since many people were watching, he had to do as she wanted.
‘I’ll be a witness.” Aaron suddenly said while squeezing through the crowd.
“And who are you?” Trevor turned hid head and asked curtly,his aura imposing.
‘I’m her brother. Aaron introduced himself. Just like that, they signed the contract and marched toward their specific cars.
‘Brother, do you mind being my driver once more?” Ariel asked cutely.
“Of course not,let’s go.” Aaron said and rubbed her head until her hair was dishevelled. Ariel was looking at him accusingly so he had no choice but to surrender awkwardly. Why was his sister so cute? Where had she been all that while?
“Whom do you think will win between the two?‘ a guy asked suddenly
‘I bet on Trevor, you know he’s close to being the god of racing. Another guy answered.
“You’re right,in as much as her skills are impressive,she can’t beat Trevor. the guy that had asked about it said.
“You can start driving.” Ariel advised Trevor,nodded and entered her car.
‘Sure,don’t come crying when you lose.” Trevor hurramphed and shot out. Ariel made sure that he was far enough before she shot off,not before turning to look at her brother,who nodded in
assurance.
Ariel’s car shot out once more at an astonishing speed leaving people who were watching stupefied. Trevor,who looked in the rear view mirror and saw Ariel starting off, smirked and increased the speed. Ariel was still unfazed,infection she smiled playfulness. She suddenly turned to her brother and said;
“Sit tight brother. Before her brother could react;the car flew in a flash. Before the onlookers could register what was happening, the car was already closing in on Trevor’s. When Trevor saw Ariel’s car closer to his, he smirked evilly and tilted his car so that it could block the whole road. What Ariel did next shocked everyone. She stepped on the accelerator and her car flew in a perfect curve over Trevor’s car and landed suavely ahead. People’s hearts that were still in their throats suddenly calmed down.
‘Fuck! Trevor cussed out loud and punched the steering wheel in frustration and drive after her. The onlookers who could no longer see the two cars suddenly saw a black car flashing its lights and heading for the finish line. People were si flabbergasted that their jaws almost hit the ground from being open too widely. Only after Ariel had parked and gotten out did people snap out of their reverie. After five minutes or so,Trevor arrived,parked just car.got out of the car and slammed the door shut in fury.
‘Young master,I think it’s time for you to honour the end of the bet. Ariel said provocatively while walking toward him.
