CHAPTER 16: IMPRESSIVE!
“What are you doing here in the middle of the night huh?” A voice suddenly caught Ivy off guard. She stumbled and almost fell,had it not been for the railings support. It was the voice that she had begun dreading; Amando’s voice. Somehow,she felt that whenever she encountered rather faced Amando,it seemed as though he could her thoughts as well as seeing right through her soul.
“Oh bro…brother, why are you here?” Ivy composed herself as fast as she could and answered while avoiding eye contact with him.
“Can’t I be here? why don’t you answer my question first?” Amando,who was displeased by her disrespectful question suddenly became imposing while asking the question.
“No brother, I was just about to go in and remind first brother not to stay up for too long when you suddenly showed up.” Ivy hurriedly explained.
“Ooh..” Amando drawled. He scoffed inwardly. She was so pretentious. She made it seem as if she cared about the Hovstad family’s well–being when all she wanted was to see them sinking deep in misery or better off if they died.
“What’s going on here?” A voice from the study suddenly interrupted their tense atmosphere.
“Oh brother,I was just about to come in and wish you a goodnight but since you are headed to bed,I better be going. Goodnight,first brother. ” Ivy told cliff and left in a rusheven before he could respond.
“What’s with the rush?” Aaron asked after Ivy had left and was nowhere in sight. Cliff too was confused but didn’t show it. He also didn’t want to poke his nose in a business that didn’t concern him. What did Ivy’s business have to do with him? Amando on the other hand,responded to Aaron’s question with a nonchalant shrug. Everyone headed for their rooms to have some sleep.
Since the following day was a weekend,?the two sisters didn’t go to school. Early in the morning, Ariel went out for a run. She felt the need to since the last time when she was fighting those six bullies,she felt that she was becoming inflexiblewith stiff muscles because of not training oftenly. She decided to start her routine that weekend. Coincidentally, Amando also had the same thoughts as Ariel. Since he was in the entertainment industry, he had to maintain and take care of his his figure. He was an actor as well as a singer. When Ariel came out of the house, he happened to meet Amando,who was also preparing to go for a morning run.
“Morning sis!” When Amando saw that it was Ariel,his mood improved by quite a notch.
“Morning fourth brother. Ariel responded amicably at Amando. She wondered what was wrong with the Hovstad family brothers for the past few days. They were all enthusiastic and nice to her that it made her suspicious and wary of them. Weren’t they aware that she was a jinx and that whoever came into contact with her always ended up being plagued by bad luck? She really didn’t want to cause problems to any of them. She just wanted ample time and a peace of mind.
“Sister,are you also going for a morning run?” Amando probed further.
“Yes, I was just about to.” Ariel answered absentmindedly.
“Then let’s go together. ” Amando said, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. Ariel couldn’t bear to turn him down,and just like that,the two of them ran side by side. Amando was inwardly amazed by Ariel’s persistence and energy. When they returned from the run,he was sweating buckets and panting. But when he turned to look at his sister,he was shocked. Apart from her flushed cheeks, nothing else indicated that she had run just now. She wasn’t sweating nor panting. She actually appeared normal and this made Amando whistle in awe.
“Sister,what are your plans today?” Amando suddenly asked Ariel,who was about to enter her room and freshen up.
“Nothing much.” Ariel answered and raised her brows questioningly at him.
“I was wondering,would you like to come and take a look at my music room later? I mean after breakfast?” Amando asked while rubbing his hands together nervously. Ariel saw the nervousness and once again couldn’t bear to turn him down. Forget it, since her was being good to her,she would also treat him nicely.
“Sure.” Ariel nodded and entered her room.
What? did his sister just say yes? Amando felt so thrilled. He also rushed into his room and washed up.
After breakfast,Amando entered the music room and waited for Ariel, After a few minutes, Ariel pushed open the door and entered. Amando who was writing on a sheet of paper,stopped and wanted to talk to her when Ariel waved her hand in dismissal.
“Kerp doing what you have been doing, I’m going to sit there.” Ariel said while pointing at the corner where there was a seat and a table.
“Oh..okay.” Amando answered and continued scribbling.
Ariel kept checking out the music room when she saw the piano at the other side of the room. She was now so sure that Amando was rich. That’s because the piano in the room cost a lot and those who owned such a model were countable. She was still looking around when she saw a sheet of paper with music lyrics written on it. It was lying on the piano. She took the paper and began reading. The more she read the more her forehead creased. She took a pen and modified the music score on the sheet of paper. She was too engrossed to hear the clicking of the camera. Amando turned to look at his sister only to find her deeply carried away and scribbling something. Her side profile was just too eye–catching so he had no choice but yo capture the moment with the camera. He posted it on his timeliness.

‘Heck,she is so cute !the more I look at her,the more I want to dote on her.”
Hid timeline immediately exploded,unbeknownst to him who had gone offline.
“Brother,do you kind singing this song with the modifications I made?” Ariel asked him.
“I don’t mind.” Amando immediately picked up the sheet and began singing. What amazed him was that the parts that have been giving him a headache for over three months were now a piece of cake for him. The song also sounded more sensual and catchy as compared to before. He widened his shining eyes that were filled with praise. His sister was just so impressive!
