CHAPTER 22: THE REALITY SHOW
When the guy who made the sarcastic comment saw Ivy pass out,he was so shocked. Damn it! she couldn’t even take such a small sarcastic comment? He tsked and turned to leave without casting the passed out girl another glance. The guy was Vick, he was once Ivy’s admirer until one day he mustered up his courage and confessed to her. Only then did he realize how much Ivy looked down on him. She outrightly rejected him by saying that he wasn’t of her calibre, both in looks and performance and he wasn’t worthy of her. She told him this infront of his friend. Vick had never felt so humiliated in his life like he did that day. He swore to get his revenge someday and that’s why he kept reading books and revising until he managed to beat her. He was ranked position two overall. Ivy on the other hand,couldn’t bear to face Vick,because of the things she once told him so she immediately passed out both from shame and anger of being laughed at.Ariel on the other hand was busy sleeping in class while the chaos were ongoing outside. She wouldn’t care even of she was awake anyway.
“Boss,the young miss was ranked position one overall in their class.” Liam told his boss who was busy scribbling something down.
“How many marks?” Bellamy asked
790 marks Liam answered
“I knew she faked that issue of poor performance.” Bellamy said and smiled. He knew she had intentionally failed the exams. She would never cease to amaze him.
“Prepare the car,let’s go to the mall.” Bellamy instructed Liam.
“Huh? Alright Boss.” Liam answered and left. Weren’t they just talking about Ariel? Why would the topic suddenly change to that of going to the mall? He wasnt eligible to ask so he just did what he was told and when he was done, he reported it to the boss,who then came down and boarded the car to the mall. When the manager of the mall so who came in,he put on a fawning smile and went to greet him.
“Boss I didn’t know you’d be here,do you want me to clear the mall?” the manager asked. By clearing the mall he meant telling people to leave since his boss usually liked quiet places.
“No need.” surprisingly, the boss didn’t allow that. He just told him that he’ll take a walk at the floor where the electronics were. He went to the side of the latest laptops.He first saw a baby pink laptop and wanted to pick it when suddenly, the disdainful expression on Ariel’s face suddenly popped up in his mind when she was talking about how she hated pink as she considered that colour childish. He smiled and left the pink laptop. The manager who was following him around,happened to see his boss smiling. Did the boss smile just now? He rubbed his eyes thinking that they were playing tricks on him but when he turned back to confirm, his boss‘ lips were still curled up. That was so rare and unbelievable. Bellamy was attracted to a pitch black laptop with a shiny surface. it seemed to suit her palate the most so he settled on it and gave the manager to pack it for him.
“Let’s go, Bellamy told his assistant who was waiting for him in the car.
“Yes sir.” Liam responded and started the car. He didn’t ask what the boss had gone to buy as it was not in his place to inquire about that.
“Where to boss?” Liam asked him
“Anderson high school. ” he responded and closed his eyes to take a nap. When Liam saw his boss sleeping,he drove slowly and carefully so that the car would not shake and wake his boss up. He tended to be grumpy if he was woken up for no reason.When they arrived at Anderson high school,Liam had just finished parking and was about to turn the engine off when Bellamy woke up. He was always right on time even without his alarm on. They had just parked for approximately five minutes when they saw Ariel happily skipping her way to them.She was the first person to come out of Anderson high school. Ariel had made it a habit of being the first one to come out of the school in Ord to avoid the rumours that people would start spreading once they saw Bellamy coming to pick her up. She was just about to greet them when a box was suddenly stuffed into her arms. When she opened and saw what was inside,she was so happy that she hugged Bellamy subconsciously while thanking him. Bellamy frize for sometime before returning the hug. She was so warm and plushy and smelled nice,Bellamy regretted not holding onto her some more before releasing her. He then remembered that he hadn’t given her the chocolates so he fished them out and gave her.
“Congratulations. he told her gently.
“Thank you.” Ariel said while smiling and the same time stuffing her mouth with the chocolate that had been handed to her.
Since the school had closed and they were on holiday, Ariel decided to honour the end of the promise she made to her brother Amando. They set off for the reality show that was taking place in city B. When they arrived, they were arranged in a group of two, Amando made it known that he could only be paired with her sister and no one else. In the reality show,on the first day, they were given a total of thirty dollars, to cater for the whole day,including shopping for everything that they required. This gave Amando,who was used to spending too much money,a hard time. Ariel saw him struggle and patted him on the shoulder in comfort.
“Jeez,who was it that bragged that he’ll take care of his sister before the show started? Why does it seem as though she’s the one taking care of him?” one fan commented.
“You’re right,it seems to be the case. Im sure his face must be hurting right now.” Another fam commented.
‘I’m dying to see the expression he has right now,watching his sister shopping for him and he’s the big brother,haha.” Another fan said with schadenfreude.
When Amando saw the comments,he wabted to dig a hole and bury himself in it,hed just embarrassed himself infront of her sister. He didn’t want to show his face
to his fans.

The following day,they were told tonsearch for the things listed on the sheet of paper each one of them was given in a haunted house. Ariel’s group emerged
winners by the help of her smart brain. Every day, they were given new challenges and tasks to accomplish,and it was always Ariel who was the brain behind the
success of the variety show,she was so impressive that she suddenly gained a fan base. For God’s sake, she didn’t want to be a celebrity,okay?The variety show ended after two weeks and Ariel finally went back to see the brothers she missed a lot. Aaron told her that she had become skinny by just moving about for a few weeks,Cliff kept putting food on her plate to make sure she ate to her fill. Ariel finally got to experience what it meant to experience the love and warmth of a family.
