CHAPTER 23: THE CLIFFSTAD CORPORATION
“Where’s Ivy by the way?” Ariel suddenly asked.
“Since the day schools closed, she’s been sulking and has since then been cooped up in her room and doesn’t come out. The servants are the only people allowed in her room to clean up and serve her food.
I see. Ariel said and nodded in understanding. Maybe she couldn’t take the fact that she had been defeated and so she lacked the confidence to face people so she decided to lock herself up in her room. Ariel shrugged nonchalantly. It wasn’t like she cared,considering how she had vern schemed against by her many times.
“Y should eat.Why are you concerned about her? Maybe she knows what she’s doing.” Cliff chided softly and continued putting food on her plate.
“Okay, first brother. ” Ariel answered cutely and continued eating her food obediently. Cliff took in her actions and smiled. His sister was so obedient and sensible. The more he looked at her, the more he found her pleasing to the eye.
“That’s right, just focus on yourself,alright?” Aaron also chimed in from the side.
“Okay.” Ariel answered with her mouth stuffed, she looked so cute. Just like a little hamster. Aaron was tempted to pinch her protruding cheeks bit was glared at by Cliff, who seemed to have seen through his thoughts. Aaron touched his nose awkwardly to hide the embarrassed expression on his face. The meal was quite harmonious. Ariel was so tired after the journey so she excused herself to go to bed.
“Ariel? Cliff suddenly called her,Ariel paused in her steps and turned to look back.
“Yes?” she answered and looked at him questioningly.
“If you’ll be fine after resting, would you mind accompanying me to the company?” Cliff asked gently
“I don’t mind. See you tomorrow morning brother. ” Ariel answered and smiled at her brother reassuringly.Cliff was thrilled to hear that she would accompany him to the company. His two brothers dared not complain since they had had their fair share of their sister. It was his turn now to create a long lasting rapport with hid sister. Everyone headed for their respective rooms.
The following morning at eight, Ariel woke up, freshened up and went downstairs for breakfast. Today, she was wearing a blue ripped pair of jeans, a white tank top,a pair of black leather boots and a back leather jacket. Her her was tied into a high ponytail which exposed almost her beautiful facial futures, especially her beautiful forehead and her striking blue eyes. She looked like a mafia princess. The three brothers kept gawking at her without saying anything so she had no choice
but to ask them.
“Is there a problem?”
“Not really, you look really good sister!” Amando expressed sincerely.
“We were waiting for you, come, let’s have breakfast before it turns cold. It won’t be yummy if it gets cold you know?” Aaron said playfully and winked at her.
After breakfast, Cliff and Ariel bade the two brothers goodbye and left for the company. On the way, they covered about everything and the environment was so harmonious. The chauffeur was also shocked to find that the first young master could talk that much. Perhaps he just hadn’t found a match to talk to? he asked himself inwardly. But what he was sure of was that the first young master was definitely fond of his young sister so he had to respect her from now on. When they arrived at the company,Cliff got out of the car and went to the other side to open the door for Ariel.
“Scared?” Cliff asked her softly.
“A little.” Ariel answered truthfully.
“Don’t worry, I’m here.” Cliff assured her.
He draped his hand on her shoulder and gently walked her to the office. This action shocked the workers at the company. In as much as they remembered, their boss was someone who avoided women at all costs, why was it that he had one in his arms just now?
‘Could it be hid girlfriend?” a receptionist asked softly?
“Who knows?” Another answered and shrugged.
“Good morning. Bellamy suddenly greeted them. They were so shocked since it was the first time their boss greeted them. Was it because of the beauty beside him?
“Good morning sir‘ they all answered courteously and bowed.
Ariel just smiled and nodded at them. When she was looking around, she happened to meet a woman’s sharp glare from the crowd that had gathered there. She wondered what she had done wrong. She suddenly understood, the woman seemed to ve interested in her brother. She stopped thinking too much about it and

followed her brother into the elevator.
When they arrived at his office, Ariel was told to sit on the couch that was in the office. Cliff then called for his assistant Leon, who was instructed on what to bring for Ariel,Cliff was so considerate and particular about the snacks that were to be brought. Ariel felt the assistant’s dislike toward her but didn’t know what to say about it. So when he went out to bring the snacks for her,she pouted and complained about how mean Cliff’s assistant was because he was glaring at her. Cliff placated her by saying he was sorry and be would soon sack him. After Leon brought the snacks and was excused, Cliff went in on the details as to why he wanted to sack him. Ariel understood the reason.
“Brother,can I see the company’s firewall?” Ariel suddenly asked.
“Sure.” he gave her the laptop and watched from the sides. Ariel operated the laptop for five minutes and turned to look at her brother.
“Brother, your company has such a weak firewall.” She exclaimed.
“You know how to hack?” Cliff asked in disbelief.
“Yes,so how about I make a strong firewall for the company brother? no one will be able to penetrate through it.” Ariel suggested.
“Sure.” he said and gave her a go ahead.
After an hour, Ariel had created one. She turned to her brother and clapped her hands.
“Brother, do you know any hacker? he can try penetrating through this ” Ariel told him.
“Sure.” He knew a top hacker so he asked him to try cracking the firewall, the hacker said he’ll give him am answer immediately he does it.
“What other secrets are you hiding from me?” Cliff asked with interest.
“Don’t worry, you’ll know with time.” Ariel smiled mysteriously.
The whole evening,Cliff was busy with office matters so he was engrossed in his work,when he turned back, he saw his sister asleep on the couch with the tabled she was playing with still in her hands. He shook his head helplessly and revealed a doting smile. He walked up and carried her to the resting lounge of his,placed her on his bed and covered her with a blanket. He made sure she was comfortable before leaving the lounge and closing the door behind him.
