ric snapped out of his thoughts when he heard Olivia’s sweet voice. He tucked the covers around her and gave Tristan a nod.
Tristan couldn’t stand watching anymore, so he swiftly ushered the medical staff out, urging them to do their thing, Olivia felt Eric might want to talk. The thought of him dragging Ashley away made her furious. She was sure Ashley’s return would only cause trouble and mess with her happiness.

Olivia understood Eric was adamant about the surgery. But with Dr. Garcia in charge? Not happening. She couldn’t feel safe with that and had to get a new surgeon before the operation. She’d rather risk it all than let Ashley anywhere near her.

Olivia wasn’t about to push his buttons when he was already tense. Plus, with Eric at work all day, she’d have plenty of chances to mess with this Dr. Garcia. If any drama popped up. Eric would definitely stop that woman from being her surgeon. With her decision made, Olivia smiled and reached for his hand. but he skillfully dodged her touch.
Tve got work waiting. Get some rest, Eric said, fixing his clothes as he stood up. He didn’t wait for Olivia to reply before heading out. Ashley’s arrogant, disdainful expression from earlier kept replaying in his mind. Did she really think so little of him?

The next morning, Ashley dropped her kids off at school herself, promising to pick them up later before heading to work. A colleague told her that Olivia had another meltdown last night but settled down a lot after the chief revealed her bluff.
The young nurses, who got along well with Ashley, naturally filled her in on Olivia’s latest drama during this rough patch.

As they neared Olivia’s room, Ashley quickly stowed her notes and had someone knock before they entered. Inside, they found Olivia hunched over a trashcan, vomiting, while two frazzled care workers scrambled to clean up the mess on her bedsheets,
“What’s going on here“” Ashley asked, her eyes shar direct order to Olivia not to drink alcohol.
