Erie rose to his feet, towering over Ashley. He leaned in close, his face just inches from hers, and gently caressed her hair. “I’m one hundred percent sure you’re Ashley Anderson, and I’ll prove it. Don’t even think about running away from me,” he whispered.
Ashley’s heart raced at his words, but she stayed calm on the surface. “Don’t touch me!” she snapped, her eyes narrowing as she raised her hand, trying to slap him.
Eric wasn’t easy to overpower. Well–trained and skilled, he could even defeat the best bodyguards in the Anderson family. He tilted his head. quickly stepped to her left, and grabbed her right arm, pulling her into a firm embrace.
Ashley struggled with all her strength, her face full of fury. But she soon composed herself and sneered. “Mr. Anderson, your fiancée just came down from the roof, and here you are, flirting with me. Are you trying to ruin your marriage again?”
Ashley knew he wanted to know who she was, but that didn’t change the fact that he had openly said he would marry Olivia. If she had a choice, she wouldn’t want anything to do with either of them.
