“Get some rest. Don’t stress about the surgery on Thursday.” Eric said, trying to comfort Olivia. Without waiting for her reply, he stood up and
walked out of the ward.

“Eric, where are you going?” Olivia’s voice shook with anger as she called after him. She sat up quickly, glaring at his retreating she punched the bed.
“Follow him and see where he’s going,” she demanded, her voice full of bitterness and disbelief. She couldn’t believe Eric would just leave her alone Ever since he started spending time with Alice, his behavior had become more and more weird.
Is Eric still thinking about Ashley! No! No one’s going to take what’s mine! Olivia clenched her teeth at the thought.
A servant sensing Olivia’s growing anger, hurried to follow Eric and soon saw him walking toward the doctor’s office. They then rushed back to inform Olivia.
“What‘ He’s going to see Alice again?” Olivia’s anger flared. She threw off the covers and tried to get out of bed. “Bring me a wheelchair. I need to confront that bitch, she demanded, her face twisted with rage as she vowed to tear Alice to pieces
In the office, Ashley sighed as she watched her daughter cling to a pink doll. Eric had sent over a bunch of snacks and toys, all of which Chloe adored. Although Ashley wasn’t happy about it, she couldn’t deny her daughter’s excitement. Chloe had already started on a lollipop before Ashley could stop her.
Ashley realized she had no choice but to keep the gifts and planned to return the favor later.
When there was a knock at the door, Ashley started to get up, but Ryan gently pushed her back into her chair. “Mom, have a rest. I’ll get it,” he said. Ashley smiled. touched by her son’s sense of responsibility and kindness.
The door opened. Eric stood there, his expressionless face and imposing presence making him look ready for negotiations.
“Yes“” Ryan’s voice was cold, mature beyond his years.
Eric glanced down with a thoughtful look before speaking. I’m here to discuss the condition with your mom.”

As Eric entered, he noticed Chloe happily tearing open snack packages on the sofa, and a faint smile of pride played on his lips.
