Chapter 28 But They Did
Olivia’s expression changed slightly, and she replied, “It’s nothing.”
After saying that, she went back to her work.
But Jillian was full of curiosity and said, “Come on, tell me. What did she say to you?”
Olivia could only say, “Rosa is my half–sister from the same father…”
“What?” Jillian widened her eyes in disbelief.
Olivia didn’t say much more and continued to work. She didn’t want others to look down on her.
When she earned enough money, she wanted to live the life she wanted.
By then, she believed she would be able to get away from those who made her miserable.
During lunch break, Milo came over and said, “Miss Hall, please come with me for a moment.”
“Okay.” Rosa subconsciously agreed and stood up.
She walked over to Milo and asked, “Does Mr. Adams have something to discuss with me?”
Since Alex arranged for her to come, she believed she shouldn’t just be doing odd jobs in the finance department.
Milo glanced at her without saying anything, then turned his gaze to Olivia, respectfully saying, “Miss Hall.”
Olivia stood up and followed Milo out.
Rosa was suddenly taken aback, her expression somewhat unpleasant. She hadn’t expected Milo to come for Olivia.
She thought, ‘What does Milo need Olivia for?‘
Dawn walked over to Rosa and asked, “Rosa, didn’t Milo come for you?”
“No.” Rosa clenched her clothes tightly She felt upset as she followed along.
In the corridor, Olivia and Milo were talking about something.
Rosa listened from a distance, but unfortunately, their voices were too low, and she couldn’t hear what they were saying at all. The two quickly entered a private passage.
Rosa wanted to follow, but she was stopped by the security guard. “Miss, you can’t go in.”
Rosa watched as Olivia’s figure disappeared. She felt anxious and said, “But they just went in.”
The guard said, “Milo was going to the CEO’s office. Miss, do you have an appointment?”
Rosa was speechless.
She didn’t know this rule since it was her first day at work However, she didn’t understand how Olivia was able to go to the CEO’s office. “Rosa.” Suddenly, someone called out to her from behind.
Rosa turned around to find Oliver standing behind her.
Oliver asked, “Rosa, why are you here?”
Rosa replied, “Oliver, it’s time for lunch. I want to go eat, but somehow I ended up here.”
She didn’t dare to say that she had followed Olivia here, fearing that Oliver would be angry.
Oliver glanced at her. “I’ll go find Alex first for a signature and then take you to eat.”
“Okay, I’ll go with you,” Rosa said.
She linked her arm with Oliver and wanted to go in and find out
