After Matthew came upstairs and saw me leaning in Noah’s
his expression grew even darker. He turned around and helped Alyssa up.

“Cohabitation?” Matthew’s anger boiled over.

“Skylar, stop making a fuss and come home with me!”
Matthew said in a commanding tone, still believing that I was making a fuss. He tried to pull me out of Noah’s embrace, but Noah blocked him.

“Skylar? That’s quite intimate. Is that your reason for resigning?”
Did Noah resign? I looked up, but all I could see was his sharp jawline.

As the two sides were at a standstill, Alyssa suddenly cried out in pain, “Mr. Harrington, it hurts!”
Matthew glanced at me and then at Alyssa. He finally turned around and carried Alyssa in his arms. Before leaving, he said, “Skylar, I’ll give you one more chance. But if you don’t come home this time, don’t come back anymore.”
I was trembling with fear. Noah whispered softly in my ear, “Don’t be afraid. I’m here.”
After the incident with Alyssa, I decided to move. My original intention was to make it impossible for Matthew to find me, but my every move seemed to be under his watchful eyes.
Noah never disagreed with me, but he couldn’t find a suitable apartment for me at the moment.
“How about… going to my apartment first?”
The address of my apartment was known to Matthew. Noah was afraid that Matthew would come to me when he was not with

Moved, I hugged him tightly for a long time before remembering to put the bank card in his hand.
“It’s a wedding gift from my parents.”

His apartment was just as clean and neat as I had imagined. I leaned over the door of Noah’s bedroom, smelling the scent of citrus floating in through the half–open window. It smelled so pleasant.
“Why are you standing here? Come in.” Noah patted my head from behind. I happily jumped onto his bed, which was soft and comfortable.
Noah lay down next to me. He had been busy all day and was naturally a little tired.
“Have a rest.”
I nodded slightly on the soft pillow, holding Noah’s slightly rough hand, and entered the dreamland.
