Chapter 7
Before going abroad, I asked my secretary to hand over the divorce certificates to Frank and Sean.
My secretary told me when Sean saw the divorce certificate, he smashed everything in the office.
Even when Angela was frightened, Sean did not stop and just kept saying, “Why? It’s fake.”
I smiled and just said that I had divorced Sean and I didn’t care about his affairs.
Later, I asked my secretary to deliver the prepared company equity transfer agreement to Sean.
I founded the company with Sean, and I was in charge of all the company affairs. Sean was just the president in the name.
The company developed smoothly, and it even became a top company in the industry within just three years of its listing.
Therefore, Sean became the youngest outstanding entrepreneur.
In this year, the company’s development reached its peak, and several branches were opened.
Angela learned the news and returned from abroad.

Now that she saw how well the Nelson family had developed in recent years, she decided to come back.
I didn’t receive a reply from Sean. A month later, Sean appeared in front of me again.
Kayla had just finished an art exhibition, and she planned to go celebrate, so I went home and prepared to drive to pick up Kayla.
But I didn’t expect to meet Sean.
Sean wore the same black coat as that day, but he seemed to have lost a lot of weight.
The coat that used to fit him well looked a little loose.
Sean had hollow cheeks, and there were dark circles under his eyes. His jaw was covered with stubble.
Sean saw me, and his dim eyes lit up instantly. He shouted at me excitedly and walked towards me, “Brenda, I finally see you.”
Sean seemed to be stunned by my subconscious action of stepping back, and he did not move forward again.
Sean’s hands froze in the air. He paused for a moment and t’n put them down.
“What are you doing here? We’re divorced.” I looked at Sean

warily and prepared to run away.

Sean looked heartbroken. “Dad is sick. I don’t mean any other thing. I just want you and Mom to go back and see him.”
Sean took a deep breath and continued, “His illness is quite serious. He has advanced lung cancer.”
I couldn’t understand what Frank did, nor did I have the right to forgive him on behalf of Kayla.
However, when I heard the news that Frank was sick, I was surprised.
I said to Sean coldly, “Mr. Nelson, we are divorced. I have nothing to do with you and your family. Besides, I can’t make any decisions for Kayla.”
I stood opposite Sean and looked at him silently.
In the end, Sean said with a hint of pleading in his tone, “Brenda, I was wrong. I promise I will never have anything to do with Angela. Can you forgive me?”
I said, “Mr. Nelson, that’s your private affairs. We’re divorced. I don’t want to repeat it again. Besides, Angela is your elder. You should respect her.”
“No, Angela has been kicked out of the Nelson family. The child in her belly is not mine but her boyfriend’s,” Sean explained in a panic, as if he was afraid that I would leave at the next second.
