Chapter 8
Sean continued, “Brenda, please believe me. I’m sorry. Please give me a chance. I promise I will live a good life with you.
“I’ve been sterilized. I promise not to have children with other women.”
Sean looked at me with expectation in his eyes. He reached out to take what I had in my hand.
I sneered. For a moment, I looked at Sean with some disgust. I didn’t want him to touch me at all.
I pretended to take out my cell phone. “Don’t touch me, or I’ll call the police.”
Sean hurriedly stepped back. “Okay, I won’t touch you, Brenda. I just want you to forgive me.
“I’ll give you everything I have. The company, money, houses, cars… Please, Brenda. Please forgive me.”
Sean said in a crying voice, and he was trembling all over.
I snorted, “Sean, everything you have belongs to me. How dare you have the nerve to say that?
“You’d better sign the equity transfer agreement as soon as possible. I don’t want to make things too awkward.”

Before getting the divorce certificate, I had already prepared for the division of property and the evidence of Sean’s infidelity.
It was only then that I accidentally discovered that the child in Angela’s belly was not Sean’s but her boyfriend’s.
Angela’s boyfriend was the man who had failed to kill me but caused my miscarriage.
Before going abroad, I left all the evidence to Sean and sued the
man.
Sean said, “Brenda, my dad and I both know we were wrong. We will definitely not have any contact with Angela again.
“My mom values her reputation. Other people will criticize her if they know her divorce.”
I glared at Sean. “Sean, what exactly do you want me and Kayla to do when we go back? Let us continue being your free servants?”
Sean lowered his head, not daring to look up at me.
I continued, “Sean, we’ve divorced. Are you still unwilling to tell me the truth? What happened between you and Angela thất night?”
Sean didn’t answer me.
I snorted, “Sean, every time I ask you something, I already know

the answer, but I still want to hear you admit it.
“I didn’t expect you to be too timid to admit it. Sean, I despise you.”
I looked Sean up and down with disdain.
I couldn’t believe that I had actually loved such a man for so
many years.
On my birthday, Angela had just returned from abroad. She called Sean and said she was scared to be alone.
Sean left me alone and went to accompany Angela.
When I saw Sean again, it was in the photo sent by Angela.
In the photo, both of them were almost naked. Angela lay in Sean’s arms and looked at the camera with a smile.
I didn’t believe it when I saw the photo.
Angela was the adopted daughter of the Nelson family and Sean’s aunt in name. How could Sean do this?
I drove to the hotel according to the address that Angela had
sent me.
When I saw Sean and Angela making love in bed, I believed it.
I covered my mouth, suppressed my nausea, and rushed out of the hotel.

“I was drunk that night, and Angela framed me in order to sow discord between us,” Sean explained.
In my view, his explanation was just an excuse. “Sean, I trust you, but I’m not a fool.
“A person who is really drunk can’t even stand up, let alone make love.”
I turned and left, leaving Sean alone, crying and apologizing.
Sean cried, “I’m sorry, Brenda. Please don’t leave me. Please. I can’t live without you.”
