“How can you call yourself a mother? Jaxon was in the hospital for mango allergy, and you didn’t even check on him!
“Why didn’t you tell Stella that Jaxon is allergic to mangoes? How would she know about such things?
“Do you know that Stella was so worried that she cried yesterday? What kind of sister are you?”
He blamed me nonstop.
Maybe because I had been bottling up my feelings for too long, I could not hold back my anger anymore. “Doesn’t Jaxon know he’s allergic to mangoes? He insisted on eating it. What was I supposed to do?
“Jaxon is your son too. Shouldn’t you have told Stella about his allergy?
“Also, we’re getting divorced. You told me I didn’t need to visit him anymore.
“Shaun, did you forget about that?”
Shaun’s face darkened. “You’re impossible.”
“Well, congratulations! Now you can finally get rid of this impossible wife.”
The process was quick.
After finishing the paperwork, he walked out of the courthouse and drove away without a second thought.
I gripped the divorce certificate in my hand and felt a huge sense of relief.
When I was younger, Shaun had tricked me. He said he would give me a home.
After so many years, I had no lingering feelings for this relationship.
All I felt was the joy of finally being free.
When I was married to Shaun, my life was mostly about taking care of him and Jaxon, and I did not do much else.
When Jaxon was young, he had a weak immune system and would get sick often.
I did not trust the nanny, so I took him to the hospital myself.
I took care of him day and night in the hospital room.
Shaun was picky with food. He only liked what I cooked.
So, after taking care of Jaxon, I would go home to cook for Shaun.
The years went by like that.
Since I was free, I immediately booked a flight to Jorath
When I arrived in Jorath, the first thing I did was buy a small house.

My mother was from Jorath, but she worked hard to raise me in the rich and busy city of Soniah.
She knew I belonged in Soriah and wanted me to find my real mother.
Since I was back in Jorath, she could return to her hometown once she woke up
She could stay in Jorath for the rest of her life.
Living in Jorath felt simple but fulfilling.
My neighbor’s kindergarten needed a teacher, so I started working there as one
After work, I enjoyed gardening and taking care of the plants. One of my neighbors had a litter of kittens and
gave me one.
I named it Dobby.
Dobby and I formed a new little family.
I also consulted with the biggest hospital in Jorath.
They had good doctors who could treat my mother’s illness.
I decided to arrange for her to be transferred here.
So, I got a lot of cat food and water ready for Dobby and planned to go back to Soriah to bring my mother over.
When I returned to Soriah, my feelings changed.
But, of course, fate always seemed to play tricks on me.
As soon as I landed at the airport, I ran into someone I knew very well.
Shaun looked thinner and a bit worn out
His face changed subtly when he saw me. “Quiana, where are you going?”
I said, “That’s none of your business.”
Seriously, I did not have to tell him my plans.
“You’re going to the hospital, right? I can give you a ride.
That was when I realized he must have come to pick me up.
“How did you know I was coming back today?”
He did not answer that
I understood something.
He was the heir of the Harrison family. He could easily find out my whereabouts
“Quiana, I lost my mind and got angry before.” He rubbed his forehead. “I’ve had time to think about everything We’ve been married for so long, and feelings don’t just change like that Recently, I’ve struggled with your absence, so even if we’re divorced, we can still be friends.”

I could not help but get angry at his words.
“Idiot!”
It was the first time I had ever cursed someone, and it fe
I did not want to deal with him anymore, so I flagged do
“Sir, take me to Soriah Hospital.”
“Quiana!”
I heard Shaun calling my name from behind.
“Sir, please hurry! A crazy person is after me.”
