Chapter 4
As I spat out blood, I grabbed his hand and looked at him in the eyes. “Do you…. really want me to save her. even if it costs me my life?”
He looked at me in a daze and nodded. Then he started crying.
Zack picked Liam up and went out to get a doctor.
Frank tried to wipe the blood that I was still spitting out from my mouth with a worried look on his face.” What’s wrong, Rio?”
I tried my best to swallow the blood in my mouth and grabbed Frank’s collar. This left a bloody handprint on
his shirt.
“I agree to the kidney donation.”
My life had been short, but it really was a joke.
Even the child that I had given birth to chose to betray me without hesitation.
The tears from the corners of my eyes were mixed with blood and soaked Frank’s clothes.
I had completely given up. I no longer wanted love or my child. I couldn’t afford them anyway.
Before I lost consciousness, the system’s voice sounded in my head. “I had never seen such a pitiful host as you. The affection level of each target had all reached 80%, this has reached the level of love, but they still abandoned you without hesitation. This won’t do. I have to go see where Wendy came from to have such powers!”
I was woken up by the sound of an argument.
When my three ex–husbands saw me waking up, they all shut their mouths.
Jordan leaned in to check on me. He then pouted his lips. “I already said your body’s in perfect condition Medical reports don’t lie.”
Frank pushed him aside, leaned in, and held my hand. “Rio, I know you’ve suffered. Don’t worry, I’ll remarry you after the operation.”
I furrowed my brows and pulled my hand back. Zack and Jordan both pulled Frank away. They looked at each other and Zack said, “Why do you get to remarry her? I can also remarry her. Besides, we have a child together.
Jordan snorted. Just as he was about to say something, a noise sounded at the door.
Everyone looked in the direction of the door.
Wendy stood there with a pale face and red eyes.
She smiled. “I’m sorry. I’ve heard that Rio has fallen ill, so I wanted to come and see her. I didn’t know you…
Suddenly, she stumbled, lost balance, and was about to fall. The three men beside me instantly went over to steady her.

Wendy walked to my bedside with the help of the three of them. She seemed to be very nervous as if I was some monster. “Rio, I’ve heard Liam say that you’ve agreed to the kidney donation. Thank you.”
I curved my lips disdainfully and forced back the blood that I was about to spit out. I then said with a hoarse voice, “Do I have a choice? Even if I didn’t agree, your three boyfriends will force me into the operating room, right?”
Wendy stumbled a little again. She looked as if she was about to cry and it clearly angered her protectors.
Jordan stood in front of her and said to me angrily, “What nonsense are you talking about? Her condition isn’t stable at the moment. Besides, we’ve said that we’ll make things up to you.”
After a short pause, he continued, “I can also marry you if you want. My parents have missed you and kept on talking about you anyway.”
I looked at the three ass–lickers who were supporting Wendy and felt disgusted. “My ass! I would rather marry a stranger than marry any of you!”
Their faces immediately darkened.
I then smiled at Wendy. “You win. Now can you take all these rubbish away? They disgust me.”
Wendy patted my three ex–husbands who were about to lose their temper and said something to them in a soft voice.
After that, they left the ward unwillingly. Jordan even glared at me as a warning. I just tried my best and stuck up my middle finger at him.
After they all left, Wendy returned to normal instead of looking sick. She dragged a chair in front of the window and sat down. She then looked at me with interest. “You seemed to have changed a lot. You would only cry and cause a scene in the past, but now you’re awfully quiet.”
I ignored her and just looked indifferently at the ceiling.
She chuckled. “Do you know why I caused you to be divorced three times?”
