Chapter 5
Dragging my exhausted body back home, I took a long, detailed look at this place where I’d lived for the past seven years.
Every corner held memories of Alpha Esmond and me–once so beautiful, now stabbing into. my heart like a thousand sharp blades.
I found a large cardboard box and, unable to sleep, spent the night erasing those remnants of happiness.
The matching couple mugs that fit together, the key chains that sensed each other within ten meters……
These were once the only proof of our relationship, especially in those times when I

felt insecure.
Now, there was no need for any of it.
For the next half month, Alpha Esmond didn’t come home. Not once. In that time, I finished all my remaining work and practically erased myself from the house.
The furniture I had painstakingly chosen to create a warm, loving space? Gone. I donated it all.
Leaving the place as it was when I first moved in–black and white, so minimalist that you could see the entire room in a single glance.
The night before I left, I thought I should at least say something to Alpha Esmond. So I tried reaching out to him through telepathy.

He rejected me. Again and again.
After a while, my phone buzzed. His name flashed on the screen, but it wasn’t a call. It
was a message.
**“If you haven’t realized your mistake and aren’t genuinely ready to apologize to Omega Carly, then I don’t think there’s any reason for us to speak.”**
I stared at the message for a long time.
A bitter smile tugged at my lips. Well, if that’s how it is, then we won’t speak.
Early the next morning, I headed out with my suitcase for my flight.
As I left what was once my The red moon Pack’s home, I felt nothing but overwhelming relief.

This place, once my sanctuary, had become a prison.
Birthday messages.
At the airport, just before boarding my flight, my phone buzzed incessantly.
They poured in from friends in the Red Moon Pack, warm and heartfelt:
“Wishing you happiness and success!”
“May you find peace and a bright future ahead!”
“Hope your marriage is as wonderful as you are!”
Each message brought a bittersweet smile to my face.

I replied to them all with simple gratitude before finally switching off my phone.
As the plane took off, I gazed out the window, watching the clouds swirl below.
For the first time in a long time, my wolf stirred, a quiet strength humming in her presence.
*We will be happy,* I thought to myself.
