Chapter 11
I knew I couldn’t hide anything from my brother. He was sharp enough to
understand everything. So, I told him everything that had happened over the past
few years.
When I complete my words, his face turned red in anger. He didn’t say anything for a long while, only staring at me in a daze. He then he wiped a tear from the corner of his eye and hugged me.
“It’s all because of me. I entrusted you to my friend, knowing his stupid addiction in love. I never thought he would go that far to break our bro code and even target you. It was all my fault. I should’ve told you about Winnie. Then you wouldn’t have fallen so deep into this. I’m sorry, Bella.”
I shook my head, feeling a soft warmth in my heart as I consoled Ethan, saying in a heavy voice, “It’s not your fault, brother. If there is anyone at fault, that’s me. He hid

me from his life and never let me disclose
our relationship in front of anyone for seven years, especially to you. I foolishly agreed to all his demands. He was a complete red flag. I should’ve seen the signs.”
He gently stroked my hair while saying,
“Don’t worry, things will get better now. Noah is reliable person. I’ll stake my life on it.”
After comforting me, my brother turned to Ned. His eyes were burning with fire as he yelled at him, “Get the hell out of my house before I vent all my anger on you. Go and tell that son of a b**** to never cross my path because if he does that, it will be the last day of his life. My house will never welcome him and our mutual friends.”
Ned gulped, seeing Ethan almost
transforming into his wolf in anger. No one would want to get their Alpha charged over them by turning into their wolf. He
immediately stood up and took leave,

saving his own life.
A few days later, there was a banquet in our pack house. It was my parents‘ wedding anniversary. So, all the pack members and the Alpha family of other packs were invited. Noah and his family was also present there.
While the banquet was going on, he came up to me and stood beside me, saying nothing. I couldn’t take it anymore and turned to him, saying, “I’m sorry about that night. Because of my presence, your condition got worst.”
I immediately rejected after saying this though. Our first meeting was so awkward. Why did I even mention it?
I saw the corner of his curling up as he added, “I’m sorry too.”
“For what?” I asked while raising my eyebrows. “For calling you dumb,” he said as he leaned near my earlobes, whispering, “After all, a girl who uses the

opportunity of marking the most eligible bachelor Alpha of the kingdom can never be dumb.”
“Oh hello! I did it because I wanted to help you,” I blurted out.
“I believe you,” he smiled, winked at me and left while gently rubbing the spot behind his ear where I had marked him. I
flushed red in embarrassment. I couldn’t
believe such a serious Alpha could crack a joke with me over such things. After that incident, I avoided Noah during the banquet. Whenever our eyes met from afar, I couldn’t help blushing. I felt like he was flirting with me and I didn’t know how to response. I was just… shy.
I was standing at the corner of the garden when someone patted my shoulder. I thought it was Noah and immediately a smile appeared on my lips. I turned back with a smile. But, soon my smile disappeared and my eyebrows frowned. The person standing standing before me

was not Noah, but Daniel.
Daniel was always a proud man. So, I thought after listening to my brother’s warning through Ned, he would never dare to step foot in our house. Yet he was there, standing before my eyes in my favorite suit that I had gifted him. He was holding a bouquet of flowers while smiling at me.
