Ethan looked at the two of us, his eyes wide with surprise. He turned to me, saying in an irritated voice,“I wanted you two to get to know each other, not get this cozy!”
“Shut up!” Noah mumbled weakly while rubbing his forehead. He was still feeling dizzy.
Ethan clenched her fists. He snapped at him angrily,“Damn, you dare to shout at me after what you have done? Just what have you done to Bella that she is defending you even after this? Even if you two are engaged, you don’t have to be so… intense!”
Seeing Ethan was about to throw a punch, I quickly intervened by coming between them.
“Brother, it’s not what you think it is.”
“Then what is it?” He demanded, his face flushed in annoyance as he muttered,

I coughed awkwardly. We hadn’t gone that far, but we had done things you’d never do with just a friend. How was I supposed to explain that? While I fumbled for words, Noah finally spoke up, trying to remind my brother something, “Have you forgotten why you came here?”
Ethan looked confused as he muttered, “It doesn’t matter. Why are you asking this? Oh yeah, I forgot. I heard that you were… poisoned?”
“You know about my family situation. I got caught up in their schemes this time, and I had no other choice.” Although Ethan’s brows were still furrowed, he finally let it go by saying, “I’m letting you go this time because I’m giving you the benefit of doubt or else… you can just forget about getting married to my sister in this

During the whole auction, I noticed Noah’s gaze was fixed on me and recalling our entanglement in the room, my cheeks flushed red in embarrassment. I even took the initiative of marking him mine, a step usually taken by the men. I was wondering what he would be thinking about me afterwards, that I was so ready to get married to him?
On our way back home, I asked my brother about Noah. I wanted to know why he was poisoned by his own family members. Then, my brother told me everything about him.
